Mount Hokulani, Diglett-line Colony

-Ren dismounts from Kitsune's back as the two look at the colony from behind a rock.-

-Throughout the colony there are quartz deposits partially unearthed by the Mole Pokemon's burrowing. A really large cluster that even Ren can see the purity from a distance just up in the center of the colony.-

Ren: Well I can see where the best quality stuff is, but running right into the middle of a colony like that is asking to be swarmed.

Kitsune: <See any closer deposits worth trying to mine from?>

Ren: That's the problem. None of the other clusters are that big. It be trial and error until I found a deposit that I could reliably mine from...

-Ren notices the sentries and ducks down.-

Ren: I think we'll need to lure the sentries away with bait...

-Ren takes out a Dusk Ball and and a Friend Ball and sends out a Murkrow with whose eyes are permanently narrow and a Mimikyu with a Decidueye cover while holding out his palm in a "stay quiet" gesture.-

-Vincent and Menehune looks around quietly until Ren holds out his arm and signals Vincent to get on. Vincent complies and Ren moves Vincent over to his face as Menehune jumps on Ren's shoulder..-

Ren: Okay you two. We need a distraction. I need you to lure as many sentries away from the colony as you can for long as you can. While you two keep the sentries busy I'm going to try to find a place I can get some quartz from. Do NOT try to hold them off longer than you are able, just run away and sneak back here. Please nod if you understand.

-The two mon nod at Ren.-

Ren: When you get back we'll determine how to keep us safe long enough for me to excavate the Quartz we need.

-Ren peers over the rock again and sees a line of Diglett carrying food towards the colony.-

Ren: Target the food. That'll get them chasing you. Can you both Handle it?

-Two more nods.-

Ren: Right then... Thief! Go!

-Vincent takes to the sky and Menehune leaps quickly and nimbly from place to place.-

-As the team of Diglett bring in berries and food for the colony, Two shadowy claws come from on top of a rock, stunning one Diglett and Stealing her berries as a black blurr zooms through the air grabbing the berries from a Diglett near the front of the line.-

Alolan Diglett A: <THIEVES!>

Alolan Diglett B: <We need sentries! We need to get our food back!>

-The Sentry Dugtrio near Ren either start heading after Menehune and Vincent or adjusting their position to accommodate the now thinner security line.-

-Ren takes off running as fast as he can, heading for the nearest cluster deposits to gather some samples he can compare.-

Reassured, the Salandit slithers out of the bag and up Youko's arm, perching on her shoulder. A plume of smoke leaks out of her snout, as if she was smoking a cigarette.

<???: "Name's Kihawahine, toots, but you can call me Ki'i.">

Zeke just smiled as Johnathan and Carol came up, "Pleased to meet you Kaisei Hiyama! So, I heard you are tied with the J-Team in some way."

"Those are in fact just rumors sir, please remember that," Silas added. ~Nothing really verified since Silas was busy with you the past year,~ Hacks continued.

-Ahe sighs and recalls Arashi. He then pulls out a Nest Ball. Out of the Nest Ball comes a Ludicolo-

Ahe: Aurora, use Thunderbolt! Hadilla, Seed Palm!

-Aurora shoots a bolt of lightning from her horn into the school of Wishiwashi. Hadilla, the Ludicolo, fires a Seed Bomb into his hand and jumps into the school. When he enters the school, he uses a palm strike, after which the Seed Bomb explodes, damaging him a little bit-

Hadilla: <Seed PALM!>

You see, I mistook this for some kind of... sentient garbage.
