(The Fire Punch sends Borax flying, but by sheer chance he lands right next to his Trainer. The Lucario barely seems perturbed.)

Borax: <That was fun! Can I do it again? :D>

(Even if Ragnar could understand Borax to answer him, he wouldn't have time, for shortly afterwards Penumbra unleashes an Advancing Wall of Doom.)

Borax: <...eeeeek! D:>

Ragnar: Borax, quick! Do as we rehearsed!

(Immediately, Borax lifts his paws and channels a considerable amount of Aura into the head of Ragnar's hammer. Just as the Surf is about to consume them, Ragnar plows the now-glowing hammer into the ground with all his strength; the resulting impact sends up a circular torrent of Aura-charged rubble, over which the Surf washes as though it were a skerry in a storm. From within this maelstrom, Ragnar's voice cheerily rings out in Ever's direction.)

Ragnar: In that case, I suppose it depends which God gave the order! Right bastards, some of 'em!

Ever: This sword is the shadow of a legendary sword whose name I can't really be bothered to pronounce. It was removed from its source using dimensional magic, and possesses a respectable fragment of the original's power.

-Vierr picks himself back up, and raises a huge black barrier to protect himself from the Fire Blast — however, due to the Blizzard's nature, that particular attack still hits. The pain from his injuries is dulled by the Psychic Headdress's effects.-

Vierr: SHUT IT! I will not be insulted any longer by an inhuman monster like you!

-He rushes forward, a set of large spikes forming on the outside of the barrier-

Vierr: You LOSE!

-He drives the spiked wall of Dark Obscura into Penumbra at full force. Elysia, meanwhile, finally reaches Penumbra and uses the sword to attack it from the other side with an augmented Shadow Claw.-

-Meanwhile, Famire has been downed by the Blizzard, and Kaius is doing his best to tend to her wounds.-

(Borax and Ragnar's wall of Aura-enhanced stone takes the Fire Blast, but it can't hold past that. The Aura holding it together gives way, leaving the stone to fall into the impact crater left by Ragnar's mighty blow. With no protection, the Blizzard is free to sweep over the enormous man and his Lucario, though Ragnar reacts to it about as much as one would a gentle chilly breeze even as Borax is blown off his feet.)

Borax: <Brrrrrr cold cold cold this game isn't so fun anymore! Can I stop playing? D:>

Ragnar: (gaily) Borax, Flash Cannon.

(With a rapid-fire affirmative nod, Borax launches a column of blinding light at Penumbra from the spikes on the back of his paws.)

-Penumbra is brought to his knees by the attacks, especially since they include a sword strike from Robin, a Dragon Pulse from his mount Sam, a Psycho Scythe from Nico, and a Meteor Mash from HIS mount Grodus-

Duolis: <But it is! Especially given you are not the man I love!>

-She hits him with a sword strike Shadow Claw, and he roars in agony-

Ammy: <And that goes double from me!>

-She strikes him with Tundra Beads, sending him staggering. Ammy looks him up and down.-

-She decends to Kaius on Mega Chrome, smiling and reaching out her hand-

Elysia used Knock Off! Vierr's Psychic Headdress, Iron Locket, Tarnished Chalice, and Purple Sword were knocked off! Vierr fainted!

-Elysia gathers the artifacts.-

Elysia: <I've got these, guys, you all have fun.>

-She heads over to the edge of the tower to toss the artifacts off.-

Kaius: ...Anyway.

-He glances at the current-time Umbra, then gives a more intense stare toward Penumbra(?).-

Kaius: Ghost Lord. I understand that, considering the circumstances, you may cease to exist in a short while anyway, but that does not matter right now. After 600 years in the Spirit World — a realm I once thought was your very own domain — I have seen your path change drastically. For all I know, that still will happen for this version of you. But for you, right now, in this moment... I cannot forgive you for the pain you caused all of Ransei. So it is time to end this, one way or another.

-He gives Lina another glance, as if waiting to see what her choice of action is.-

Mega Chrome: -claws start glowing with steely energy- <My pleasure.>

-he rams Penumbra with a quadruple Meteor Mash, sending him rearing up from the impact just in time for Lina and presumably Kaius to impale him with their swords. Penumbra roars in agony and disintegrates into glitchy, Obscuric mist.-

-Umbra cringes then claps.-

Umbra: Good work, guys. You beat... me.

-Dialga tosses a cosmic brick at Palkia-

Dialga: SKREEEEEEEEEEE.

That basically confirms my suspicions as to the nature of these battles, but we'll have to see what the next blasts from the past we have to face are to know for sure.
