Zeal's Mindscape

RedEyes!Zeal: "You didn't make it easy... but in the end, I succeeded."

-RedEyes!Zeal vanishes, then reappears-

RedEyes!Zeal: "Wait... this isn't right... I'm still here..."

-A wall of swords once again surrounds RedEyes!Zeal-

RedEyes!Zeal: "You're not dead... are you...?"

Jacob: "............................"

-He coughs and twitches as he tries to get up but collapses back on to the lake surface-

"Good luck.... trying to find another spot to put a sword in me... pah!"

-All the swords vanish.-

RedEyes!Zeal: "Damn... Why won't you just give up?!"

Jacob: -Coughs again and chuckles, but says nothing-

RedEyes!Zeal: "Dammit..."

-Several swords appear beneath the water and stab Jacob from below-

"Dammit!"

-The swords once again appear behind RedEyes!Zeal-

"DAMMITDAMMITDAMMITDAMMITDAMMIT!"

-The swords once again go flying at Jacob one by one-

And at that point... I thought I was dead.

-A flash of blinding blue light fills the mindscape-

But... then... it happened. He came back.

-When the light fades away, Zach is floating above the water, holding a blue sword in his right hand and a green sword in his left-

I couldn't believe it. But... I also think I was hallucinating from blood loss. I had like thirty something swords stuck in me.

.... My vision was red. Everything was blurry and fuzzy. I kept fading in and out of consciousness.

Where was I?

Who was I?

Was I supposed to be in this much pain? Maybe it'd be easier to let go and-

At that moment a wave of heat flashed through me. I wasn't allowed to think that. No, I had a reason to live.

That green sword... Zeal! I didn't recognize the name. The pain was too much. But I knew I had to help out that person. I knew I had to live.

The twins fought, the blue eye'd and red eye'd one.

Sword slashes were exchanged. I saw two walls of swords, each firing off like a machine gun at the other, destroying eachother.

I saw flashes. Energy released as metal clashed in midair, and the clashes jumping and dashing.

I saw gears torn from the walls and hurled at the fighters like shuriken, splays of water...

But in the end... the red overwhelmed the blue. Slowly but surely. The red one kept pushing him back and down. Beating him into submission, enraged and empowered.

Then... he was backed up to me. Facing a wall of swords. For some reason the sight infuriated me.

In a wave of blue light... the swords in me vanished. My wounds closed, the water beneath me began to clear the crimson it had been polluted with...

Jacob: -Hopping up- "Zach!"

Zach: "You promised... you'd pick me back up if I fell... The least I can... do for you is... the... same..."

-He falls backward and begins to sink beneath the water-

Jacob: -Watches Zach starting to sink- "No... NO!" -The black and white blade reappears in his hands-

"YOU!" -Rushes at RedEyes!Zeal, screaming and swinging his sword down at him-

-RedEyes!Zeal once again creates a wall of swords behind him-

RedEyes!Zeal: "Do you really want to do that?"

Jacob: -Already swinging down on RedEyes!Zeal- Ah crap.

-The entire wall of swords goes flying towards Jacob, joined by several gears.-

Jacob: CAN YOU SAY OVERKI- -Is knocked back by the swords before being slammed into by a gear, flying backwards and slamming into a tree in the forest-

"Well this just grinds my-" -Coughs up some blood- "My gears! Heheh..."

RedEyes!Zeal: "That pun was so terrible you deserve to burn forever."

-The wall of swords appears behind RedEyes!Zeal again, bursts into flames, and goes flying towards Jacob once again-

Jacob: -Is rammed into and is lit on fire-

-He screams, collapses to the ground and rolls around-

Damn... is it really going to end like this...?

-On the other side of the lake, Zeal begins to wake-

RedEyes!Zeal: "What?!"

-Zeal's eyes glow green, and the mindscape fades away-

Jirachi's Cave - Cave Pit

Jacob: -Gasps as he pushes himself up-

Argentum: <You're awake!>

Leon: <And Zeal?>

-Zeal pushes himself off the ground, his eye flickering back and forth between green and red-

Zeal: "Good morning..."

Jacob: -Blinks, then smiles- "Good morni- Wait, what's that sound?"

-Turns towards a pulsing light in the center of the cavern-

"It's.... him."

-The light intensifies and becomes a small gray-and-gold pixie-

Jirachi: -Yawns- <Good morning!>

-The eye turns red and stops flickering.-

RedEyes!Zeal: "Good morning. I'm glad to be able to meet you at last."

Jirachi: <Nice to meet you, too! So then, can I->

Jacob: "NOPE!" -Tackles RedEyes!Zeal-

Jirachi: -With an annoyed tone- <Heeeeeeey! It's you again!>

-RedEyes!Zeal pushes Jacob away and stands back up-

RedEyes!Zeal: "Just give it up! I already won! Face it, it's over!"

Jacob: -Grabs his legs- "You stuck like three dozen swords in me and I didn't give up? Why the hell would I stop just because you tell me to?!"

-RedEyes!Zeal sighs-

RedEyes!Zeal: "My wish... I wish— Ngh!"

-He falls to his knees-

"Why...?"

Jacob: -Lets go of RedEyes!Zeal, stands up and backs off-

-Zeal stands up again, his working eye half blue, half green-

Zach/Zeal: "My wish... is this..."

RedEyes!Zeal: "No..."

Jirachi: -Gets excited- <Yesssssss?>

Zach/Zeal: "I'm sorry, Chase... I'm sorry, Fajro..."

-He dramatically waves his hand-

Zach/Zeal: "Get rid of my red-eyed aspect! I don't care how!"

RedEyes!Zeal: "NO!"

Jacob: "YES!"

Jirachi: -Smiles- <.....>

<Wish granted.>

-A blue green light floods the cave-

RedEyes!Zeal: "You... This is all your fault...!    Jaaaacoooob Iiiiriiidiiiis!   "

-The light dies down-

Jacob: ".... I-Is it... did it work?"

-Zeal's eye is now pure green-

Zeal: "Yeah... I... think... s..."

-He falls over, unconscious-

Jacob: ".... At last. It's... it's finally over...."

-Turns around- "And... as for you."

Somewhere in the world

-A single blue eye briefly flickers red-

Temp HQ

Anka's panicked look only seems to grow.

Anka: Aah! I'm so sorry Mr Triton! I just got the job to mind the hallways and I saw you talking to mr Allen and I scampered and...

Anka takes a deep breathe and calms down.

Anka: I'm sorry for considering you suspect sir. My name is Anka and I'm well... I'm new here.

Gateon Port

Deziree: Hey, do you think I should get some official papers or anything? Technically, I don't exist right now.

Dune: I'm sure I can convince old Mesquite to whip up us some ID's for you. She's got some surprisingly deep connections in Silph.

-The two sip their respective drinks as they look out at the night-time harbor, Dune's arm around Deziree's shoulder.-

Boat Back to Orre - Hours later

Jacob: -Looking down at Zeal- Well... that's one part of this mess we can forget about...

-Looks up- Now then...

Gateon Port

-Dune looks down at his P*DA, which was on his lap playing music a second ago. He flips it open and sees Jacob's message. He then proceeds to choke on his soda when he reads the first sentence.-

-Joseph has taken to wandering the streets of Gateon after a while-

So, this is it, is it? Only here a few more weeks before it's time for Kalos. I have to say, I know what Pi sees in it no-

-suddenly, a harsh female voice-

Ophelia, Sleep Powder.

-he falls to his knees, and sees her-

-he falls asleep-

Anka: Oh... To be honest, I don't think I'm really cut for the criminal life. But I really need the job so I don't want to let sir down.
