Amhlaidh: I—I daresay I would believe anything at this point.

-he turns to stare at Ammy-

Amhlaidh: Lady Amaterasu? Then... you're a human? I... to be honest, I am not sure if I want to know how this happened.

-he turns back to Umbra-

Amhlaidh: Lord Umbra... why did you leave? Why... why didn't you tell us? Lady Duolis was devastated... there was no successor, no one to take your place. I told Captain Keiji to take control, I... I don't know what happened to Spectra.

Iulianus: Right, everyone seems to be here.

Black Masked Man: -sobs-

-Herbert continues to pace, making a mental note to rebuke Crewe once he's finished with all the serious business.-

Herbert: Once the war was over, you didn't bother going after Lucanus, Aiura, or their children. You held yourself back during the fight with Umbra to stop yourself from killing anyone. In your mind, Lucanus was merely a symptom of a larger problem. That problem being a world where the good guys suffered and died and the bad guys walked away scot-free. You still wanted revenge, but it could wait. In the meantime, you wanted to make sure that no-one else would have to meet the same fate you did.

-He stops, turns 180 degrees, and resumes pacing.-

Herbert: You never expected me to arrive in Virbank six hundred years later. You tailed us for a while, just to make sure you had the right guy. Ensure that I was really Lucanus' descendant. Once that happened, we fought. And you died. And it was the fact that you'd died at the hands of almost a dozen or so people who were all convinced that you needed to be put down that made you think that you might have become the bad guy at some point in your quest to make the world safe for good guys. An oversimplification, perhaps, but am I still mostly correct?

Yeah, it doesn't really surprise me. My Ninjask was resurrected as a Shedinja.

Umbra: I left... I left because it would have been bad for my enemies to know I was alive, for one.

- He sighs-

And... I had a profound regret for everything I'd done after Ammy defeated me. One that it took me centuries to move on from. I did find and tell Duolis before I left.

Human!Ammy: Oh, I'm not quite human either.

- Takes off her armband-

Ivy: <So far, you two have had the most mild reactions to this so far.>

-Herbert stops pacing, too focused on Edge to respond to Sakura or Rawst.-

Herbert: I think that's everything, for the most part. It's all starting to fit together now. Last time we met, I had hundreds of questions I wanted to ask... this time, there's just the one.

-He looks up at Edge.-

Herbert: Why didn't you kill me? You had dozens of chances to do so. You could've killed me in Humilau, you could've killed me when I went to rescue Carol - in fact, you could've just cut my throat in Virbank whilst I was sleeping. But you didn't. Which... the only logical conclusion I can come to is that you were never actually trying to kill me in the first place.
