This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

I've only seen worse in fanfiction to be perfectly honest.
I still think Superior was worse than OMD.
It has a severe problems, but I enjoyed it a hell of a lot more than what's happening with Peter. It gave Ock long-needed characterization and focus(instead of the monumentally petty and occasionally sympathetic generic mad scientist he was), the concept of Hero-with-mechs-and-mooks is interesting, it reminded how menacing the Green Goblin can actually be after that idiotic humiliation conga that was Dark Reign, and when Slott wasn't the one writing it(like the team-up issues), it was even better.

I guess I'm just confused as to why fans would get so upset over something so blatantly temporary. It actually damaged Peter's character less than I thought it would; I thought his career as a scientist would be ruined by Otto somehow and he'd have to go back to the Bugle.
Yeah, but then you would'nt have the controversy of Peter building an empire off of someone else's hard work, giving you reasons to root for the hero to fail and for Ock to reclaim his legacy

In fairness, Peter completely shifted the focus of the company which lessens how much he's just mooching off the work Ock did.
And in the time skip after Secret Wars, Peter turned a struggling company into a huge success with no mind swap at all as far as we know.

Whoa, I was honestly not expecting Ultimate Spider-Women to get any love ever again. Always nice to see representation of a character with an unusual gender identity. Hmm... I wonder if this means anything?
Ultimate Jess will be showing back up in the comics soon as another survivor of the Secret Wars.
Maybe. We already got a bunch of people from Battleworld showing up in the All-New universe, like Leah Hellranger from Siege and Dazzler Thor.
She's got a Marvel Legends figure this year, so I guess it does.

Pretty much every Spider-Woman has gotten ML figures during this past 2 years or so. I've got all of them, except Gwen, since she hasn't been released in Mexico.
I guess that is more tied with a soon to be released lego set featuring her

Oh, I forgot Bombshell. She's someone from the 1610 universe who also showed in the 616 universe after Secret Wars.

Yeah she appeared in civilian identity in last months Spider-Man comic where she tried to pay Miles a visit related to school-work only to be treated extremely rudely by Miles bitch of a grandma.
