Fair enough. I concede defeat.
Doesn't mean I'm not gonna use them though.
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertI swear, YGOPRO Salvation hates my Monarch deck. Nearly every duel I have a hand full of S/T and Vassals but no Monarchs and generally just lose. The one time I win against someone trying out the new Burgs in some type of draw and trap spam deck. It still took until the 18th turn before I finally drew a Monarch and began my counter attack, after which the Burgs player surrendered within 2 turns. Honorable mention goes to Lose 1 Turn and Bottomless for helping me stall and fend off their Burgs Xyz twice.
I've gone back to trying to build and optimise a Lockdown Beatdown deck revolving around Dark Magician as the core with Sorcerer of Dark Magic, Dark Paladin and Secret Village as the backrow lock.
The Dark Paladin aspect is easier via Elemental Hero (I'm sorry, I meant HERO (fuck that all caps, I don't understand the reason)) Prisma as the 'substitute' for Mask Change Timaeus to bring out Paladin (sometimes Amulet Dragon instead). Eternal Soul helps (but that drawback is annoying).
However, Prisma being a Level 4 Warrior doesn't assist with bringing out Sorcerer.
So I decided on a Pendulum variant using the Odd-Eyes Magicians, namely the Gazers and the Lair/Pit duo (being scales 1 and 8, they'll allow for Level 7 Pendulums).
Odd-Eyes Fusion allows for the summon of Rune-Eyes, Vortex and Amulet Dragons. Timaeus gets out Paladin.
Rank 7s can be brought out using Odd-Eyes, Dark Magician, Dragonpit and Antithesis. I'm considering adding Peasant Dragon to help recycle the Pendulums in the grave.
Unfortunately all these combined lead to a large deck size.
What was in your right hand is hope; And in another hand is something else to fade. It's because the TCG screwed up. In the OCG, there's an archetype called "Hero." But the TCG for some stupid reason decided to have cards like Stratos manually list this archetype as "Elemental Hero and Destiny Hero." Then, of course, the OCG made Evil, Masked, and Vision Heroes, and the TCG had to scramble to fix things. The problem is, the TCG put the world "Hero" in some cards that didn't have that word in their OCG names, thus excluding them from the archetype, and therefore when they made the new Problem-Solving Card Text, they put "HERO" in all caps to make it clearer which "Hero" cards are and aren't in the archetype.
So basically, the TCG sucks at translating card names and this is their band-aid on the problem.

I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.Besides, I genuinely think HERO looks cooler.
Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.It just looks like every second word of every Hero's card name is supposed to be shouted.
"I summon Elemental HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEROOOOOOOOOOOOO Flame Wingman!"
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.@wanderlust: Just a heads-up, I'm stealing your deck too. I haven't been so hyped for an archetype since Artifacts.
It's alright, as long as we recognize I was the hypest, and give credit where it's due.
Also, guys, remember to run Scrap-Iron Scarecrow with it. Scrap-Iron Statue can also work.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyThere◊. Finished my new Bandit Keith deck. Any odd cards(like Magic Jammer or Zera the Mant) are mandatory to fit the deck theme. Everything else is useful stuff. May go with Swift Scarecrow. Perhaps remove a card or two for it.
...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.I feel like you shouldn't force yourself to include Zera the Mant. That was just something Marik added to Keith's deck. That'd be like saying a Joey Battle City Deck HAS to use Meteor of Destruction.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.I also happen to like the card. But it has won me duels as well. It's been pretty active now that I added Manju.
Chaos Emperor Dragon was only added to help clear the field at times. Very deadly with Trunade. The remake won't be as deadly when it's released to the TCG, but at least this is a nice way to get rid of a few annoying cards without pure destruction only.
Had to add Falco(now if I could find mine...) because I'm getting too many dead hand issues. Maybe Jar of Avarice over Pot of Avarice, but I have only one Jar, which is decked already. Hm. Pot of Avarice is active enough, mind you.
...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.An Earth Odd-eyes ritual monster, and with a pretty good effect too. Also, more monarch stuff.
Damn ninjas. My highlights:
- So Odd-Eyes now have a Ritual version of Flare Metal Dragon, which comes with an unstoppable Giant Trunade on summon (though only for the opponent's backrow, which I guess is more balanced, all things considered).
- A new Melodious that can summon any other one from the deck upon being battled to death. Somewhat annoying, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was considered worthless for the deck.
- New Ninjas! That is both cool and aggravating to me. They effectively have a new Searcher, and a monster that basically gives you a free Xyz, on top of being a 3000 wall. At least there's no Action cards to facilitate an FTK?
- FUCK YEAH SUPERHEAVY PENDULUMS. Hopefully, they'll make Synchro Summoning non-Superheavies easier. Also, needs more Superheavy Synchros.
- Oh hey, a Monarch that can auto-tribute an opponent's monster during their turn. And Special Summon a Monarch from the deck. Welp. And his Vassal counterpart special summon's another vassal from the deck. I am fairly sure at least one allows an extra tribute summon, so it's not totally pointless.
- Also, Monarch draw power. So you can discard a Monarch spell/trap to draw two, then banish Pandeity to add another spell to your hand. Goddamn.

Eh... outside of considering the new Zombie tuner and (obligatory level 6) syncro, nothing really interests me.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyNew zombie tuner?
They can't for the life of them understand why nobody liked being ruled by a group of manic depressive demigods - 4chanYoutou - Shiranui. It'd be amazing if there were actually any zombie synchros that weren't level 6, though.
How would Melodious Solo be worthless for the deck? All Melodious can only be used efficiently when they are Special Summoned. Solo was just exactly what the Archetype needed.
Some people are thinking the new Zombie tuner and synchro are references to Shaman King. Their anime was made by the same studio as YGO's.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."You sure thy didn't mistake the company for 4Kids?
I don't agree, but the mentality I've seen for anything that needs to be destroyed by battle tends to be "lolno burn these cards they sux".
I'm actually a bit surprised that I have a usable Sea Serpent deck, two usable aqua decks, and a warrior/aqua hybrid deck, thanks to the new support that WATER cards have been getting. I was able to bring back an old friend in Drill Barnacle◊, backed up by Testudo, of course.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI gotta say, that Heaven Monarch is really cool-looking. She's also referred to as "The Original Monarch," which makes me think she's even older than the First Monarch and likely the ultimate head of the group.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."You know, if that guy behind Jean, the Frankenstein-looking fellow, is gonna duel soon, I am predicting he'll be The Heavy while Jean is The Unfought.
Given the fact he is machine-like and has not spoken, I'm gonna WMG that he's gonna culminate Jean's study of foreign summon types by using Qliphort.
It'd be kind of interesting to see Yuya take down Towers and Kernel.
Sign on for this After The End Fantasy RP.I was just thinking how Odd-Eyes didn't have either an Earth (Beast-Eyes apparently doesn't count) or a Ritual representative, and lo and behold, they get one that is both.
But now I'm predicting that D/D(/D) will also get a Ritual, seeing as they're the other Arc-V archetype that incorporates all summoning styles. That and Reiji is Yuya's main rival.
Odd-Eyes special summon support seems to be semi-generic (for Dragons).
Odd-Eyes Fusion works for the Timaeus Magician Fusions (Amulet and Dragon Knight). Plus it is searchable, unlike Timaeus.
I'm gonna experiment with Advent in a Red-Eyes Ritual deck (for Lord of the Red and Knight of Dark Dragon)
The new Monarch's effect of special summoning Monarch is definitely a means of encouraging people to use the fake Monarchs aka Delg and Kuraz, who get their effects regardless of how they're summoned.
And now there's a way to recycle the banished Monarch S/T. Before this I was hesitant to use the Original Monarch's grave effect. Now I can spam it.
Eternal Soul rubs me the wrong way, in that it only directly supports Dark Magician, as well as its weakness. Maybe if it also supports DMG (along with Dark Burning Attack, Dark Burning Magic, Sage's Stone, Eye of Timaeus) it would be better. What was in your right hand is hope; And in another hand is something else to fade.
I wouden't count on D/D/D rituals, So far Yuya has never used the Variants that aren't pendulum monsters (Saber, Meteorburst, Vortex, Absolute and now Gravity) and Reiji/Declan usually only uses the same summoning styles that Yuya uses so that means that the only way for there to be a D/D/D ritual is for Yuya to have a Ritual of his own that debuts in the Anime instead of the card game, which given the extra-centric focus of the series, is about as likely as people here finding out who the characters in my avatar are.
