New Sandra strip. Umm, literally. Zoé seems to be ... a little loopy.

= Spindriver =I thought it was already established that she's prone to being Innocently Insensitive.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Yeah, but she's so damn consistent about it. Also, she is as usual offloading all the credit for her own problems onto someone else.
= Spindriver =New SDB., with guest appearance. Also, the masculine disguise continues to be good for Ruby's confidence. She'll get her Deadpan Snarker certification yet.
= Spindriver =Such a great test.
She isn't really doing anything. You shouldn't try to force the Deadpan Snarker label.

The sad, REAL American dichotomy... Poor Communication Kills has never been so funny!
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I find the extended crossovers a bit annoying, but I have to admit the last one got me to follow SOTR.
Fresh-eyed movie blogI still read SOTR as "Sakura on the Rocks".
Also, her series isn't really a part of this crossover, though.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI said the last one. There was like a week between Gary getting home from visiting Sandra and this plot about the gig starting/becoming a crossover with the newer spinoff.
Fresh-eyed movie blogDillon, if you like Jerzy as much as you say, BE STRONG.
To be fair regarding the crossovers, I'm pretty sure that you could read either comic involved and not the other, and the plot would make perfect sense. You'd miss a few jokes, of course.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyI was just thinking. Is it a good idea to use a regular model for motion capture? It is not like they are capturing their appearance, only their movements. Wouldn't make tons more sense to use stunt actors instead?
Face capture exists now. In inFamous: Second Son, Delsin is Troy Baker. They're missing the cameras that would get that performance, but I'm sure that's the implication.
All voice actors in video games who play the major playable character all have to be well-fit and perform perfectly with their bodies as well as their voices now. Mo-cap changed a LOT.
Uh, then it stills seems like a bad idea to have Sandra do that. I mean, she is a model, not an actress. Can she even act? And is her body actually well fit enough?
Doesn't matter. The public demands that she be the character in the game, so she will be.
I understand that part. I am just saying that might not go on smoothly.
Also, she's fit enough to be a model, so I would assume she's fine to do the mo-cap.
I understand these are different types of "fitness".
There is. Mo-cap tends to be done by two groups mainly. Action-actors and actual actors. lol Those terms are wrong btw.
The actual actors tend to be people like Baker who know how to ACT and act out a scene so the can capture the complex emotions show cased by body movements. Used for scenes requiring acting.
Action actors tend to be people who know how to look good while doing actions(running, jumping, reloading etc.) and they are used for things like attack animations, running, jumping, idle animation.
I mean models do get used, sometimes, but that's because models know how to act like models. Sandra does not.
lolMoCap doesn't seem to be especially physically tiring. It's just moving around while the cameras capture your movement. Whether Sandra is limber enough to move like a convincing action heroine is another question, but it's not like she's overweight or especially clumsy.
I'm honestly curious whether people could tel if the body movements in the game were performed by her or a double of the same height and build, but safer not to risk it (or the bad PR that'd come from having the deception exposed), I guess. Her face has already been captured in a previous strip, note.
