^^^The show puts its protagonist in a frilly pink dress shortly before he saws a giant crayfish in half with a chainsaw. It's got balls.

^Remember that Eu is a necromancer. It's probably a sore spot for her.

Yeah, the second episode's not as entertaining as the first. Too much time around a dinner table for no real reason. On the the other hand, the fighting is surprisingly well-animated. Best fight between a leaf-using vampire ninja and zombie that acts nothing like a zombie i've ever seen.

^^ Considering she's a necromancer, it shoulda been the contrary, since she can bring dead people back as zombies.

^But she specifically said that death is painful, and is presumably the reason why she brings people back to life.

By the way, anyone think that Yuu killed Zombie Boy (no, I don't remember his name)?

Would be a funny twist if she did, that'd make her the most adorable Stalker with a Crush ever.

[up]Could have been, although she just seemed like she was just surprisingly sensitive about death for someone who has it in their job description.

We really don't know much about how she thinks but... She kind of talks like Yuki with a deeper voice in my head.

Personally I interpreted it as being Dude, Not Funny! for her the same way saying something like "Go die in a fire" could be Dude, Not Funny! to a firefighter.

Despite having to deal with fire all the time, and maybe turning certain aspects of fire into trivial things, a firefighter would have firsthand knowledge of just how terrible a multiple-alarm building fire can be, and may not like to joke about it.

^Yeah. I'd imagine that Haruka doesn't deal with actual death very often; she kills Megalos, but those're supernatural creatures.

What I read from Eu's reaction, rather than 'necromancers shouldn't take death seriously', it's 'not even the people who can reverse death find it something to joke about'. I don't think Haruka was wrong for using the expression; I do think she should have stopped after Eu asked her to. Being slapped was her own fault, but I don't blame her for it.

...On a completely unrelated note, anyone else get a sort of Biribiri/ Last Order vibe off Haruka? I can't quite say what it is; maybe they look kind of similar.

Episode 3, mostly fanservicey filler and some EXTREME JENGA with a side of "What A Tweest!" just so this episode wasn't completely useless progression-wise.

My wild mass guess theory? The killer was twin-tailed girl, and the only reason she's in the hospital is because her last victim fought back. Besides, they aren't ballsy enough to give us the killer so early in the story.

I agree that it's way too early for the killer to be revealed, especially if it's Eu - unless we later find out that she has a reason for it. It could be that she's also been trying to track down the serial killer and had the misfortune to be seen by Kyoko in her house the night her parents were killed.

Also: don't screw with Eu's pudding.

Or it's other necromancers just like Eu.My favourite scene of the episode? Orito talking about how no girls would like those masks, and in the background a bunch of girls all showing they got one too.

This extremely fanservicey filler has made me seriously consider dropping this series.

... And then they drop a strangely huge likely-pseudo twist. But since it will probably come to nothing, I can probably disregard it.

Oh, come on. We hear the killer apparently 'thought nothing of killing' and he suspects Eu, despite that the fact that last episode she got pissed off 'cause Haruna jokingly told somebody to die. I mean, that's a pretty clear disconnect in character, don't you think?

Something entertaining I just realized:

Ayumu's name is written 歩, 'to walk'. So, yeah... this summer, in Japan, the dead Walk... meets a Masou-Shoujo.

Someone should totally rewrite Shirou's chant for Sera. And cram it with as much Tsubame Gaeshi as possible.

Episode 4: A talking doberman enters and quickly exits :(, the masou-shoujo dress becomes "1000% cuter," and the serial killer is still unknown as he/she/it finished off twin-tails.

I think that's the first time we've seen a Mystletainn Kick that actually involved a kick and not just chainsawing something in half. A low-orbit Mystletainn Kick, no less. Once again, Ayumu proves that there's nobody more badass in a house containing a little girl who can hold up a space whale, a vampire ninja, and a supremely powerful necromancer than the flying zombie in pink ribbon.

Orito's not going to take this well. Nor is Ayumu.

Huh...the action in this series is pretty good....and by pretty good I mean it has a crossdresser kick the head out of a flying whale wearing a tuxedo.

Kerberus died a bit too fast and easily though

Huh, and Yuu thinks SHE has it rough. Look at what Ayumu must become just to be able to fight!

Fifth post since the first one mentioning episode 4. Spoliers off, gentlemen!

It wasn't wearing a tuxedo, it was wearing a gakuran... for some reason. All the Megalos seem to, though.

Anyway, I'm glad to see that Sera is starting to warm up to Ayumu, though I hope she doesn't go all tsundere for him (at least not in a romantic sense; I think we have that base covered with Haruna). Any bets, by the way, on the girl with glasses in the OP? Wonder who she is.

It's been fun.
