Fanfic ideas you have.

Basically, this thread is for posting whatever weird Fanfiction ideas you might have.

I recently asked on another forum if I should watch Princess Tutu. The answer was an overwhelming "yes."

So I sought out finding more information (read: searching for spoilers) about the series, and, wouldn't you know it, I started daydreaming.

"Hmm, you know, this would make an excellent Trapped in TV Land if done right," I thought.

The entire series is about an author trying to write a series posthoumously, right? Well, what if someone were to find said story in the form of a book, and discover that the story is alive somehow? And what exactly would happen to the characters if the book were to be destroyed?

The whole idea seemed very NeverendingStory-ish, and it could be quite good if done well.

I'm not sure if this counts as fanfic, but I'm writing a story about a golem created by a wizard. It's weird, because the golem is engineered to be completely subservient, but can't tell (at first). The wizard doesn't at first see his creation as anything more than an automaton, but that is partially due to depression (Angst angst angst angst).

Also, the worldbuilding involves wizards/witches creating constructs of magic to serve them as familiars. It's quite influenced by the Bartimaeus Trilogy in its interpretation of how wizards work (I.E. They are political sleazeballs), but the rest is kinda a fantasy kitchensink. However, the established rule is that none of the magical creatures are "natural": Talking animals are just normal animals that have been enchanted, magical creatures are shaped from the minds of people or are chimaeras, golems are custom-built servants out of one specific material, elementals are spells given sentience, homunculi are created from potions, etc. Even eldritch abominations are simply creations of our own madness. Also, the humans are in control. There's not going to be any revolution, and even the most wild creations can be contained.

How about a crossover between Pokeomon Mystery Dungeon and Fullmetal Alchemist? It would be after the final episode of the 1rst anime. Intead of being transported to Germany, he is flung to a devestated world in the far future, and must work together with a chimera (or, what he believes is one, which is, in reality, Grovyle.) Cue the rest of the events of Explorers of Sky. The catch is, as Ed progresses through the plot, he regains his memories gradually, and with that, his alchemy.

In combat scenes, I suppose he could use alchemy as a move, but it would take up a move slot as usual. What do you think?

So wait, the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon/Fullmetal Alchemist crossover would be a game?

No. It'd be written as a fanfic, but some elements of the game would carry over, such as the characters only being able to learn 4 moves max.

Dexter vs. Columbo

I've been thinking recently of making a Candle Cove fictional liveblog, I guess you could call it a fanfic.

Is this thead for critiquing other people's ideas, or is it just to show examples of ideas? Could we give out advice to make our fanfics better?

Although I don't know much about those other shows, the Dexter crossover seems promising.

Can someone give me some advice on my fanfic idea? I know that I might sound desperate and little selfish, but I would just like some advice to prevent this from turning out as a badfic.

A Darker and Edgier take on Morrowind.

For years I've had an idea rolling around in my head about an anime & videogame multi-crossover focusing on a champion from each universe being part of a sort of ancient force that has watched over everything since all of creation, and has to reunite to take on an ancient foe long-thought sealed away for eternity.

There are two problems I've had, though - 1) I have a perpetual case of writer's block combined with an active school schedule for nearly the whole year, and 2) I am fully aware of the Mary Sue and am quite honestly afraid that I wouldn't know how to write a good Original Generation character as a result.

ive always wanted to do an expanded universe fic on the megaman zero series. alot of the technology zero and the other reploids is glossed over, and one day i wanna explore that abit more.

These are actually some very good ideas here. I'll make a thread in the Writer's block section for fanfic help. Post your ideas here, and put those same ideas on the new thread, if you actually want your idea critiqued or need plot help. I know I do!

I was thinking on a AU fic from a story using Kingdom hearts' concepts as a base.

Now, when I talk about Kingdom heart crossovers, I think of a mix and match of everything ever seen that most often than not go expectacularly out of control. What I am aiming for here is a more isolated thing with less inter-world travel and more strugling in one single plece. Playing with the eldrich abomination aspect of the heartless and looking at how terrifying it would be from a logical perspective if they went to a world that have no way (as in magic and supernaturally strong individuals) of fighting back. Or actually can fight back but don't have a way to stop them from keep coming and eventually get overwhelmed.

Speaking of KH, I've been thinking of doing a crossover with Touhou, although I've been to busy writing two other stories to develop that idea much. It's planned to be generally light hearted and stuff.

...Though if my Dissidia fic is any indication, I suck hard at humour.

I don't even remotely have the writing chops to pull it off, but an idea I've had floating around in my head for a while is a reworking of Evangelion where Shinji is blind, due to either an injury or illness suffered at some point before episode 1. The key points would be:

• Shinji's mindset about his condition; I haven't been able to decide if it should make him even more depressed, or if it should happen far enough in his past that he's learned to deal with it;
• no one in NERV except Gendo (and possibly Fuyutsuki) knew about Shinji's handicap before he shows up;
• Rei is assigned by Gendo to be Shinji's guide/escort, and how having to be around each other a lot more than in canon affects their relationship;
• how Shinji not being able to see the women in his life affects his relationships with them;
• as long as he's in Unit 01, the synchronization with the Eva gives him his sight back.

Three scenes that I've definitely had in mind are:

• The opening scenes from episode 1 told from Shinji's perspective, and Misato being flabbergasted when she goes to pick him up and discovers his condition;
• Shinji doing the "touch as sight" trick with Rei as a bonding moment;
• Shinji and Asuka getting off to a very rocky start since he can only go by her voice and attitude when they meet.

I'm thinking of writing a Naruto and Lyrical Nanoha crossover after I finish my current fic. But having some doubts about how good of an idea it is.

• It would start with Precia ending up getting sent to the narutoverse after the events of the first season of Nanoha.
• Pain discovers her dieing near the hidden rain village curious as to how she got there he reads her mind and finds out how powerful she is and all about the magitek she can build,
• Pain believes she'll be useful and revives her and Alicia gaining Precia's loyalty
• She joins the Akatsuki and works for them as a Mad Scientist

I came up with an L 5 R/Touhou concept where [[Hell Jingoku]] is replaced with Gensyoko. Sadly, I know almost nothing about Touhou that didn't originate from Internet Osmosis and so I don't think I'd be the right person to make it.

I just now realized a Final Fantasy VIII / Firefly crossover would be interesting. I was thinking about River and what they did to her and then realized it shares parallels with what was done to the See Ds at Balamb and Trabia.

I could have take place after time compression, and AU where the world does actually end and Squall (and maybe a few others but probably not) end up in the Firefly 'verse. Since I very literally just thought it up while pacing around my house I don't have much more but I will start scribbling myself some notes.

I have an idea for a fanfiction that I may write very soon: Kickassia through the eyes of an Original Character who has no idea who any of the Channel Awesome guys are.

Hmm, let's see here, they are all crossover.

• Persona4 and Inception. Only reason being them sharing Jungian psychology and exploring other-world that reflects characters' psych. Dom will most certainly get Morpheus as his persona, possibly.
• CLANNAD and Haruhi Suzumiya crossover: in which Kyon and Tomoya trades their places in first year, so Tomoya is thrown into world of bizarre supernatural adventure while Kyon gets to be surrounded with even cuter girls and listen to/solve their problems.
• Final Fantasy VII and Neon Genesis Evangelion, where The WEAPONS are more or less same with the EV As and is piloted by Cloud and Sephiroth is more or less Tabris. JENOVA is the Lilith. Yeah, i know.

I've been inspired by The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Stage of History to write a Magic The Gathering crack fic.

The plot involves the Neowalkers (like Jace and Chandra) fighting against Nicol Bolas (as usual) to stop him from acquiring the Power Nine. However, it turns out he's only being manipulated by an evil clone of Mark Rosewater, who plans to obtain the Power Nine so he can reprint them and ruin Magic The Gathering forever.

It involves:

• Jace losing his entire fortune (earned from WOTC royalties for use of his mug on Jace, the Mind Sculptor) to Tezzeret in a game of tic-tac-toe:
• Koth creating a rock band with Sorin, Elspeth and Venser:
• a DUAL Heavy Arbalest-wielding Soliton:
• Garruk being a bro:
• And Ghost Urza. ("You kids today and your Mind Sculptors and your Squadron Hawks and your Bitterblossoms and your netdecks and your metalcrafts and your five-colored Phyrexians and your EDHs...")

I just remembered this old fanfic idea I had for Rozen Maiden. It was basically a continuation of the anime, and probably a horrible, horrible idea, but the basic idea is that a rival of Rozen had created his own set of dolls, which were designed to be superior to the Maiden's.

There were six of them, each powered by a certain gem (essentially their own Rosa Mystica), and were desperate to prove their superiority by basically hijacking the Alice Game and beating each Maiden, thereby earning their own 'father's' love.

If I remember right, I was going to use Lapiz Lazuli, Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, Diamond and Quartz as their Mystica's/name basis.
