Resident Evil

I used to love watching my Aunt (Who is one of my favorite people) play this game. I would diligently watch her play 1, 2, and CV. I remember not being very scared of it, even if I was only about 7-9. I just loved watching her kill zombies and the other mutants. That all stopped the day she brought Resident Evil 3 home, though. I don't know why, but hearing Nemesis say " S.T.A.R.S " was just too much for me. I still can't bring myself to listen to that thing, even though I know it almost certainly isn't as bad as I remember it.

Hey, did Nemesis have a voice actor? Cause I have to give him credit.

I need to play 1 but I can't find it in english I only get crappy spanish translations. Played the shit outta 3 I even memorized it and I haven't played zero, R Emake and outbreak.

I played Resident Evil 3, 4 and 5. I liked all of them. Nemesis is a bitch though.

The first time I fought Nemesis in front of the police station (I think it was the police station) I was like "Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck— OH, I'm out of AR ammo... *flees*"

RE3 was my first RE game (I have the Dreamcast version), and my favorite is Code Veronica, which I noticed hasn't been mentioned yet. In my opinion, it took the original Resident Evil formula and perfected it. I also like the remake of the original Resident Evil.

Picked up The Darkside Chronicles, wish I had time to play it

Ah, but my past with RE is a sordid one indeed.

I was terrified of the first one on principal b/c of the Web Spinners. Mind you, this was back when they were, well, on the PS 1 with the tiger-striped legs (or, if you wanna take 'em down a notch, the hooker animal print legs), but they were still friggin' huge. We borrowed the game for a while, but didn't get very far. We didn't even get to the Web Spinners, which was probably a good thing. I didn't consider it much of a loss.

We played the second one, but skipped Nemesis and Survivor (besides the fact that the game got horrific ratings). I remain perversely interested in Survivor, though. Didn't miss any of the games after that.

Strangely, Outbreak was the game that broke my RE, and, by extension, Capcom apathy. I still love it. I'm not ashamed to admit it, despite its flaws. It wasn't a great game, but it had lots of ambition. I feel that a rating of 1/5 is patently wrong for Outbreak.

I was quite happy to see that someone added a "Compare to Resident Evil Outbreak" part to the Left 4 Dead article on here.

The Shark Ring is kicking my ass in Remake, if only because I don't know where to do, or if I'm even supposed to go there yet.

I remember as a kid I'd go "Whoa, did that Battletoad just chop your head off?!"

Guys, you really need to use the "search forum titles" feature to make sure that the thread you want to create doesn't already exist. Hollering for a mod to lock this one down.
