Lugia was the closest pokemon to Missingno. in a way. For the most part, I feel like Lugia was inspired by Missingno.

And Foobar, where's your proof?

I didn't say it was canon. I saw they already made a rare Glass Cannon Pokemon with 3 alternate forms, extreme stats, mysterious origins and changes form depending on the game it's in.

Then why did you mention Deoxys?

I mean, their similarities isn't that much. And you could've atleast explained why you thought so. It just looked like a random unrelated post, really.

I've always thought yes, but I guess I'm in the minority.

Heh, I remember when I first found the Missingno. bug. "It's called Missingno and it looks like spaghetti," my friend said. So I did the thing to find it, and battle ensued.

"Oh, it's just a glitch," I said.

"It's a what?"

"You know, a bug."

"But it's not bug type."

"...Nevermind."

Oh, make it a real pokemon? Sure, why not.

Would've made an interesting pre-evolution to Kangankahn, really. I mean, that was the obvious plan earlier, but...

I think it might be better left as a Noodle Incident type 'mon, because the insane explanations the fans have for it in-universe probably can't be topped by canon.

Yes, but it can be taken down by Canon.

There's always going to be arguements and people calling discontinuity when it comes to Pokemon. This is no different. And frankly, actually making it into a real pokemon(Normal/Flying) with Water Gun as its starting move(but not the second Water Gun or Sky Attack) and allowing it to naturally learn Sky Attack at low levels would be pretty neat.

Plus, it's by far the most interesting Glass Cannon we've got. If only because it was the first glitch and has Nostalgia on its side. Heck, they could give it Pick Up as its ability.

I always thought they could justify the whole glitch thing by just saying it's powers mess with technology. Ergo, your Pokedex goes batshit and tells you incorrect type/attack info.

Ability? Has a chance to recreate a held item after it is used, as a reference to the 99 of the 6th item thing. Call it Duplicate or something.

Having some NP Cs talk about it and making it an in-universe myth would be a good reference, but making it an official pokeyman would probably be a bad idea.

No, but external references in something like Super Smash Bros. would be cool.

I think it would be pretty amusing. At least as a little Easter Egg.

No, but my idea of the canon is rolling back to RB and axing most of the new Pokémon, so maybe my opinion doesn't count.

I'd kind of like to see it done once well as a semi-serious Cosmic Horror plot, but for the most part no. Agree with the Easter Egg though, maybe as a one-off unexplained Bonus Boss somewhere.
