Actually, what's up with Rondy? She's from one of the Phantasia remakes, yeah? Which one is it? I kinda want to try out the definitive version of Phantasia sometime, since the GBA version I tried was super clunky.

She's from the PSP remake of Narikiri Dungeon 1. That game also included a version of Phantasia that inserted Rondy as a playable Guest-Star Party Member, as well as balance changes and finally getting rid of that spell pause thing. Rondy apparently knew Dhaos back when she was younger (I keep hearing she's from Derris Kharlan or similar but somehow I don't really buy it) and whens he heard he was a villain she set out to find out what the hell. Although I dunno why she suddenly put on a battle bikini but you know me I sure as fuck ain't complaining
Some feel Rondy's presence in Phantasia's story and Dhaos' overall backstory is shoehorned (though you could say the same for Galando, Patty, Kongwai and QQ) but her design is NNNF.

(Well, let's see the villains now. How are they graded? To me, a villain is the 'best' when s/he does hir job, that is, make me HATE their guts. I don't know about you.)
Okay, Asch is a Jerk with a Heart of Gold (you must dig very deep) and appears in the one Tales game whose plot can be called a synonim of 'good'. Great character, but a regular at the Heel–Face Revolving Door Tavern is not a good villain.
Barbatos is a good villain, yes. A bit memetic, but deserves the spot. Gaius had the flimsiest motives to be a villain, but gets bronze medal for being a sexy hunk of meat. SYNC? Gaaah! *foams at the mouth* Now this f*cker deserves a SSS Platinum Super-bonus rank for being an asshole through and through! No amount of sympathetic backstory can force me to pity him! Ahem. Dhaos and Duke gave a very good fight, so I won't diss them. I haven't met 7 and 8 yet. Aaaand... yes, the Sadist Duo! Should have ranked higher, but I am glad just seeing them there.
(The mascots? Well, surprised to not see Teepo rank higher, and... how is Corrin dead last? Its heroic sacrifice still causes me Manly Tears! And I always make Sheena defeat Volt alone!)

Tales fans prove they have bad taste, surprising no one.
I don't think Rondy is from Derris-Kharlan, I'd seen that she just happened to meet Dhaos as a kid and got caught up in his time travel a lot. But I'd also read things that suggested Norn was evil, so... Take it with a grain of salt.
For such a horrific villain (he makes everyone's lives worse in one way or another) Miktran is so looked over. I guess that's what happens when you're The Man Behind the Man.

Yeah, I've read all sorts of weird stuff abot Rondy and I actually legitimately want to read her true story and figure out just what her deal is. And what part of Aselia she's from to have that skin tone. I dunnomaybe she's Moonrace?
As for Miktran, I don't get that either. Elrane counts as The Man Behind the Man for Barbatos and gets much more than Miktran does. Hel, Cloud of Darkness sorta counts for Xande in Final Fantasy III yet she got into Dissidia.
