The Meh-ness was kinda the point, I wanted to try making trance, and figured I'd start with something generic.
Next up: Darkpsy.
The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.I did an intentionally shitty track using only presets in an attempt to parody trance once. Don't know what I was thinking.
I never use presets, for the record.
Naney, I'm gonna turn it into an Electro track. Do you mind?
I'll upload it when I'm done.
Also, I can't listen to that now, I'm in school, and internet ain't so good this evening.
ARCHITECT POWAHHH! Will soon be posting as 'Firebird'... [[http://tinyurl.com/ttwiktlk Wiki Talk SubforI don't mind.
The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.Yay!
ARCHITECT POWAHHH! Will soon be posting as 'Firebird'... [[http://tinyurl.com/ttwiktlk Wiki Talk SubforFor the record, I'll use most of the melody, with HARMOR.
I'm addicted to that synth.
ARCHITECT POWAHHH! Will soon be posting as 'Firebird'... [[http://tinyurl.com/ttwiktlk Wiki Talk SubforLOL Triple post, sorry.
So, Bleh (remake).flp is finally here! Done in about 2 hours or so...
I had to render the pad, Love Philter and Harmor in the same project don't really mix, CPU load-wise. Even rendering was a bitch.
Kept your saw (with a different melody) and your Hyperspace Pluck (with a slightly different melody as well). The Harmor Pluck you hear in the intro was based on the first bar of your pluck.

The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.I like it.
The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.I think I'm gonna give Psytrance a serious try.
The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.I once made a trance track entirely out of heavily-effected drum loops. It was pretty nice, for the first minute or two, if spare. It later ended up as part of one of my crazy-long ambient things...
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.I'd like to have a listen, Naney.
Your sending the FLP file and me working on it helped to get my creative juices flowing. Thanks.

Imagine Rakan applying Calling Your Attacks to doing paperwork.~Anarchy Rakan for the hell of it COMMISSION THIS BRIDGE!~EHKIt's a metal/electronica (no idea which subgenres, doesn't matter) thing I've been working on the past two weeks... I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!

No regret shall pass over the threshold!Sorry to interrupt all the electronic music subgenres, but I have created a song that could be debated either way whether or not it is punk rock!
I kinda like it, and I would in fact classify it as "punk rock" - with more of a full band rearrangement I could sorta see it having a Ramones or Buzzcocks vibe. Possibly even Jay Reatard from what little I've heard of his work?
Exciting news*! I may or may not be branching out into VGM in the near future - basically a friend of a friend is developing a game and I'd be doing the score. He's gonna contact me with more info, but what I've been told is that it's an RPG of some sort, the main character is going insane, and the music is supposed to be ambient. I already wanted to do a bunch of shortish mood pieces and claim it was a soundtrack to something, now I can do that and maybe have it actually be a soundtrack to something.

I do wish I had a full band to do this stuff with. Whenever I wanna add drums to something, I use this one small sample I have from an old acquaintance of mine messing around with a drum kit in high school (he just happened to play something similar to the Amen Break while I happened to be filming him—serendipity is an awesome thing). I do have an electric acoustic bass, but I don't normally use it as much. 'preciate the complement and feedback I haven't heard of Jay Reatard, but I'll check some of his stuff out.
And that sounds pretty cool. I don't normally play RPGs since I can never really find the time to do so, but I might check that out when you and your friend are done with that. The idea sounds pretty neat. The music ought to be interesting there.

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I like to make cheesy MIDI compositions in Guitar Pro 5. Currently working on a cover of Jumpin' Jack Flash.
Mache dich, mein Herze, rein...Didn't turn out half bad, definitely gonna put more work into it, that bass patch was a lot of fun to make. No presets.
The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.Anyone here make rap or hip-hop beats? I'm looking to get into it, and some advice from someone who actually knows what they're doing would be extremely helpful.

Seriously.
I don't know why I did that. It's good and trancey, but kinda meh. Then you said it needs work, and a lightbulb went off in my head.
