With anyone else, I would say "Pshhh, like he'll do the whole comic over". With him, I can totally see him doing that.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.He's doing a guest week so that he can re-do the entire comic and upload it in one day.

Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.This and the commentary below are pretty cool.
I didn't write any of that.Godspeed and enjoy where the road takes you, DM-M. I'm looking forward to the new annotations. They've always been fascinating, even when I had no clue what you were talking about.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Go for it, man! You have our support!
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.Well, I thought this might be coming. Personally, I think it'd have been perfect if he'd ended it on the strip where he passed Bill Watterson, but I guess it took a few more comics to wrap up all the storylines.
I think he should set the comic to loop back from the beginning, though, so we can still get our daily dose of IWC.
<><Now that thats out, im really gonna miss it . It was the one comic i read that updated everyday. Darths And Droids is good, but only three days a week. I'll still read his new anotations, but I'm really gonna be hopeing it was a joke until tomorrow. And everyday after that for a good couple months. I really just hope he will make it truely "Irregular" and just post new ones every few days.
I really should have seen this coming though. He wrapped up every major story line. The fantasy one threw me though, because it looked like it was heading into a Fellowship parody.
I'm baaaaaaackThanks for the good vibes, all. Someone else has suggested rerunning the strip from the beginning - and it's something I could certainly think about doing.
It'll take me some time to write the code to enable it though, so stay tuned.
Hey DMM, I just want to say I really enjoyed your comic. It was the very first webcomic I've ever read and my gateway drug to the wonderful world of webcomics. I'm sad to see the comic end, but it was a satisfying conclusion and I couldn't ask for more. I will be looking forward to your annotations!

Bite my shiny metal ass.I like the "Rerun" idea, because you might also be able to pull a Narbonic and give commentary and some of the comics.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.Thats what he did too! So mcuh Awesome!
I'm baaaaaaackCALLED IT! YESSSSSS!!!
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.Hey David: I'm really enjoying the new Sunday annotations. You would be a great grade school science teacher.
And the rerun annotations are fascinating as well. But then, I've always been a sucker for "making of"s and retrospectives.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I was a science teacher for six months. I was not good at it because the primary skill required to teach a rowdy bunch of 13 year olds who don't want to listen is not the ability to explain science.
That is, unfortunately, too true.
Let me rrephrase it then:
You would be a science teacher I would have loved to have had.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Same here
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.In which the Internet, and a lot of other stuff, really is a series of tubes.
We claim the land for the highlord, God bless the land and the hiiighlooord! What? It's over? NOOOOOOO!
This, and now Homestuck, and what next, is Gunnerkrigg Court ending, too?
This is just like when the last Harry Potter movie came out and 8-bit theater ended and It's Walky went on hiatus and was never all that good afterwords; all in 2010.
I don't know why, but I always remembered the last star wars movie and the last Harry Potter book as coming out on the same summer; even though it didn't happen that way. I only saw the last Star Wars movie the summer of 2007; so maybe that has something to do with it.
Eat pasta!^ Dude, it's been over for something over a year already. He's rerunning it from the beginning with new annotations. I.W. Monday through Saturday, and a essay like that one on Sunday.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I share your feelings but IW has been over for 2 years. How did you just learn now?
I know that this is purely coincidence; that there's no way this could possibly have been set up in advance; that it's sheer serendipity, but look at this. Just look at this and revel in the synchronicity of that comic rerunning on the one day (well, ok, one i-day) that TV tropes has Lampy running.
Unless, of course, DMM is a timelord and he did set it up in advance...
