I think Bandana Dee and Galacta Knight are equally viable. Bandana Dee has all his crazy spear shenanigans, and Galacta Knight has... all the things he can do from his various fights.
Speaking of Toad, I wouldn't mind him becoming playable. I can't think of any moves for him, but they can just replace Peach's Neutral B and Toadsworth and it would work.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.I outlined a possible Toad moveset a while back:
- Faster, with stronger ground game, but not over specialized to it like Little Mac.
- His aerials could be decently strong, but he'd have lower jump height and be a faster faller.
- Neutral B can be the Charge Squat that'll let him carry around a high jump to save for later. It'll help with recovery as well, but using it in midair replaces his double jump, and he can't use it after Double-jumping
- Turnip Pull Down-B, but they're the heavy turnips. They'd only get thrown diagonally but do more damage and knockback
- The giant shell would be his "Stitchface," with about the pull chance of Luigi's misfire.
- maybe let him pick up other players with it for giggles?
- The propeller cap Up-B to balance out his poor jumps, and he can hit B again to Ground Pound Spin.
- Side B can be the Shell power-up from the DS Mario. It can be a Quick Draw or a less maneuverable Sonic side-B that you can't jump out of.
Well, the pickax should be one of his specials, yeah?
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Maybe introduce both Spring Man and Ribbon Girl at the same time as semi-clones of each other?
If Sakurai wants to do it, then I want him back (he's changed his mind to make both Brawl and Smash 4).
If he feels the work is too much, then I want him back in a producer role or something.
Clearly the fourth Kirby character should be Gooey.

Another character who can inhale...but mostly attacks with his tongue.
It works.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Personally, I'm just worried that we'd all lose something if Sakurai wasn't in charge; he has a very particular mindset about things that, for good or for ill is really integrated into Smash, and I worry that somebody trying to emulate it may not work as well as Sakurai's critics may think...
I mean, Kirby's been on a great roll lately in a bunch of Sakurai-styled games without Sakurai anywhere near them.

I sure said that!Which is why Kumazaki is a great choice. He's greatly emulated the Sakurai style, and could keep the good things about it while avoiding some of Sakurai's more frustrating... Sakurai-isms.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! If Metroid Prime 4 does happen with telling the story between Samus and Sylux, then Sylux would definitely be a shoe-in (assuming it doesn't suck like Other M, or that Ridley doesn't finally get a way to be playable in Smash).
I do writing, feel free to check out my stories here! https://numbugwritingblog.tumblr.com/post/686233243868102656/numbugs-shared-heroic-uniI don't really buy into the idea that a new director would fix everything and put every single fan fav desired character into the game. I think its more likely that they would bring their own flavor to things and no doubt piss off SOMEBODY because of it.
I'd actually like to see a new director take a spin on Smash though, just see what a new face could bring to the franchise.
Now what Sakurai-isms are the ones that need to be changed?
- Revamping characters? What will we do with the fans who like the characters the way they are?
- Not redesigning Ridley/otherwise fitting him into Smash? Well, I think it can be done, but with great difficulty.
That's just one. Even if Sakurai will come back, there really isn't much he's doing wrong.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.I'd say a better Ganondorf-solution would be to make him more in line with canon, and make Black Shadow the Captain Falcon clone.
And I'm meaning to give Ganondorf moves that he has in canon.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Except that's unfair to many fans on many levels.
- F-Zero fans wouldn't want it because their shiny new character is just a skin for an old moveset which is a semi-clone of an established character.
- Smash Ganondorf fans wouldn't want it because they associate punching with Ganondorf at this point.
- Lastly, who would you shunt Mario's punching moveset off to if Mario gets a hammer? Or who would you shunt Ness's punching moveset off to if Ness uses his Bat more often?
I'm mostly talking about the special moves for Ganondorf. He does punch in Canon so I am fine with him punching as normal moves.
Clearly, Ganon's moveset is a massive cause for Broken Base.

You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! But do you want...
- DK to have his Coconut Gun?
- Roy to have his Sword Beam?
- Mario to have his Ground Pound?
- Ness to have Paralysis, Hypnosis, and PK Rockin'?
No? Then why should Ganondorf have his specials changed? There's no reason to change his specials in the name of making him "iconic." Besides, Mewtwo has the energy ball, reflecting, and teleporting thing locked down.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.I'd rather they just remove Ganondorf's rather boring Twilight Princess design along with the moveset and replace it with the much better Hyrule Warriors design, complete with twin swords moveset and Wind Waker alt. Same with Link, Zelda (while she doesn't need her rapier, it would be nice to have), and Sheik.

This song needs more love.Agreed
I wasn't even trying to argue, just making a mere suggestion.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! All versions of the characters may as well be Alt. skins...
It's confusing to why they aren't already.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Probably too much work on the modelers. They only had time to make a few alts before the game was shipped, and quite a bit of them ended up being full clone characters.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Just to name a few...
- Extremely obvious creator favoritism (Kirby franchise in Brawl, Kid Icarus in 4.)
- "Bowser isn't supposed to be like that, he's supposed to be like this!" (Thankfully mitigated somewhat in 4 with his more faithful redesign, but still present to a degree).
- "Ridley should not be playable." ("Cannot" is a different story, but we'll never know if he's already dismissed out of hand simply because Sakurai feels he's not player-character-material)
- "No Wario games other than the WarioWare franchise exist"
- "Toon Link's moveset should be identical to Link's"
- "They stopped making new Kirby games after I left"
- "Ganondorf is fine as he is, he doesn't need any changes"
- "There shouldn't be an Adventure Mode because people can just look up the cutscenes online"
- "Olimar is silent as a mouse" (C'mon, we need that inexplicably deep baritone voice)
With surprise Glass Joe?
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!
