Damn, I really want an official tier list released because I'm not agreeing with any of these.

The Smash 4 back room just formed recently, so we'll get an official one eventually.

I don't agree with Mario being above Sonic,

I think that people are preemptively calling Roy overrated, that people aren't giving Greninja enough credit (though Full Moon would know better than me), and that there's a bigger gap between Pit and Dark Pit.

Even an official tier list would probably become outdated overtime considering patches and just generally the meta changing overtime. I know at least Melee's changed a lot compared to their first list.

There's already a group working on an official tier list though.

Ike's gotten a lot better lately. Anyway, Japanese tier lists are so weird, they are pretty different from Western ones.

For the record, I think Roy is a mite overrated, but he could do well if someone actually mained him.

I'm not surprised Duck Hunt got on a list.

But that's probably bias speaking. I like playing as Duck Hunt.

I'm finding myself playing with Marth more than I play with Roy nowadays, but I still find Roy fun to play with from time to time.

The concept of an "official" tier list is kind of weird to me. I don't think "official" is the right word you'd use, rather "widely agreed upon."

But maybe I'm toasty. "Official" sounds like Nintendo would come down, nod their head, and give it the stamp of approval. Or as if there's some political Smash Council that legislates what the official tier list would be, wearing hooded cloaks ominously around torches.

The latter's pretty much what the Back Rooms are; a council of the widely knowledgable about the metagame, discussing viability and rules without outside influence.

Yes, they are horribly prone to corruption.

Then again, the backrooms are not precisely free of personal bias. I'm not calling for some grand conspiracy or anything like some do, I just know they're a little bit small for a council.

Bias is inevitable but the people in the backroom should be able to keep each other in check. Still, characters that don't get a lot of representation are very likely to end up getting shafted during the creation of a tier list.

Though there really isn't any helping the latter. There's just no way to gauge competitive ability if no one's playing a character.

How many of you have 100%ed singleplayer? I'm still working on it. Some of these challenges are just unfair. At least I beat Classic with everyone. Still haven't beaten it above intensity 7.5 though. Still need to beat All Star with like fifteen characters, it's getting rather tedious. At least I managed to get the "survive for 1 minute in Cruel Smash as Luigi" challenge done this week as well as some hard Events.

I haven't bothered to do much in single player on wii u, but on 3DS I'm done with everything but the collection challenges.

I used my boy Roy the most in malee. I always found his moves more awesome and cooler then marth and he was a clone in that game. I even defeted Giga Bowser whit him. I,m probably the only one to do that whit my boy Roy.

The only thing I haven't finished on 3DS singleplayer is collecting all custom moves, and that's just due to tedium.

I've been babysitting Smash Tour in the background for days on end, and yet I still don't even have half of the roster's custom movesets finished. (Sigh)

I only have Greninja's set completed and I ended up getting all of ROB's too while playing randomly.

I intend to have the first two custom slots of every character to be 2222 and 3333 respectively so I can play with/experiment with custom moves without having to worry about tediously putting together a build. They'll be saved with the costumes used in Smash Tour.

Oh right, custom moves exist. I still need a bunch of those.

I technically still need custom moves, but I used a hammer on that challenge and completed everything else.

I'll complete them all one day, but I'm going to hang onto my golden hammers.

I'm saving my golden hammers, too.

I want the custom moves for gameplay reasons, and that challenge is a good marker for when that's done.

I'm slowly working on completing the challenges, very slowly.

Also I blame you guys for making me look up some Greninja gijinkas thanks to that one comment from before
