[up][up]Goldberg wasn't a technical wizard(neither is Triple H) or the best seller but he wasn't a bad, especially considering his limited experience. His All Japan run wasn't good, but his failures in WCW and WWE were mostly the fault of WCW and WWE.

edit:[up]2: Andy Kaufman certainly wasn't. Bully Ray was able to at least restrain the Bellator body guards Dixie Carter hired. For that matter, WWF won the NFL battle royal

3: Not so in Chikara or HUSTLE

4: Music, yes, but not all invaders get music initially. The Nexus didn't. They had shirts but even the independent guys down in the WWN can get custom shirts.

5: BJ Whitmer proved that false back in 2002...and there are earlier examples I'm just to lazy to look up. James Storm's kidnapping people was pretty bad case of the camera man filming when he should have been calling the cops but Storm did know and acknowledge the camera's presence, saying when to turn it off.

...but is this mainly a WWE list masquerading as a pro wrestling one? There are some general cliches and tropes but then some exceptions like Glamour Boy Shane's refereeing in TNA or other examples besides Undertaker would be mentioned, no? (Lucha Underground has a giant who eats people, that seems Undertaker caliber)

Friday, I watched CMLL's Tuesday show...always behind. Still, that 12 minutes a fall opener, beautiful. Tuesday's supposed to be one of the more relaxed days but I hope the fans don't take it for granted.

Oh, and I learned today that Wesna's back! She's nowhere near as old as I thought so maybe she'll stick around for awhile. Rebecca Knox, Jetta...I'm not trying to get my hopes up but you never know...Allysin Kay is Sienna in Triple A? I'm guess TNA is the cause. That company just confuses me, maybe I should catch up with them too or something.

Brian Zane's Wrestling with Regret has some interesting meditations on the recent Ricochet vs Will Ospreay match and how wrestling is like religion in how there are many true paths.

And, the match in question (at least until it's taken down):

Definitely some beautiful choreography with very few botches, but also very stylized to the point where it pulls out out of the fantasy that there's actually a fight going on between two humans instead of a comic book fight.

>_< Yeah... and I just noticed that Joey Janela was briefly advertised for the next IWC event this Saturday... followed by a notice that he was withdrawing "due to injury". He's the guy being slammed through the truck in the video linked above.

From the reaction, or rather, the backlash, you'd think this was the first time someone complained about the amount of acrobatics in a Ricochet match. He's a Dragon Gate wrestler, is this people's first time seeing him or something?

Granted, I can understand why people may not want to see that in New Japan, especially not at best of the super junior but it's not like they had an out and out Dragon Gate style match. I did think the dual handspring three point landings were a bit over the top, the back to back turnbuckle dodges too. That the match went on a little longer than needed, given they were using plenty of well known finishing moves, but I really didn't think it was bad or anything. I was sure Osprey was going to miss that 540, that was impressive.

Then again, my standards for this kind of thing might just be lower. I still remember The "Reina de Reinas" Wave hosted. Haven't held Korakuen Hall on a pedestal since.

Oh, so Allysin Kay, or whatever they're calling her now, beat Yim for the belt. Now the TNA Knockout's Title will be defended in a three way that will also include the SHIMMER Title and SHINE singles belt, this Friday.

...Any thoughts?

The accounts of someone in the dark w/ the indie scene are worthless, but a lot of cross promotional shit is happening these days. It's an interesting set up, but also one we have been seeing a lot of this year.

@Kilgoretrout: Whatculture is the best clickbait countdown site out there. Most of it is delivery, because the hosts have so much personality (especially Adam).

Money in the Bank is go. First match was the Fatal-4 Way tag team championship match. These are always a bit too hard to follow, but I still loved it. Then again I am immensely easy to please; Nearfalls and false finishes at the climax always get me, even if there are fuck ups.

No one gave a shit about Corbun/Ziggler. Shame.

The buildup to Styles/Cena is the best part of the whole night. The simple story of two big deals running into each other, man. After a while fucking night of being dead the crowd is on their feet.

It could have only been him. Now my personal picks were Sami or Kevin, but the stories that could be told wirh roman and Seth make

holy shit they are starting now. For once I want to watch Raw asap

I thought the main event was alright, but I was kind of paying half attention because I thought it was a foregone conclusion. I was so wrong.

I have to admit I thought Mit B was on it's way to being a real stinker of a PPV until Styles vs. Cena, then it really picked up.

I feel kind of bad for not really being into the Rollins vs. Reigns fight due to feeling like it was forgone conclusion, because it actually looked like it was really good. And then the ending, I saw half of it coming but the other half really threw me for a loop, it was all good though.

Yea, business picked up after Styles vs. Cena. I admit, Rollins vs. Reigns was a lot better than I expected and the ending I didn't see coming at all. Well, Rollins pinning Reigns clean anyway, Dean cashing in was kind of expected.

Hope so. Fuuuuuuck that was a bit out of left field. Shame, because the CSS review I read of Raw was positive. Like, the developments made in Money in the Bank made me want to watch Raw for once in my fucking life (it airs a week after the original airing here, see)

It's nothing to be that worried about unless he hits strike two I think. This is a PR blow to the face but wrestlers have come back from a strike.

If it does stop Samoan Jesus's push forever though, that would be something

I've seen at least one account claiming that inside sources had revealed that he'd been cited for violating the Wellness Policy before Money in the Bank, so they went into it knowing he'd be out for 30 days. Probably worth noting that violations include everything from steroids to drugs to high blood pressure.

Well, I don't know how it makes the detractors feel but Sydal and Ricochet are no longer the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions, so maybe you'll be seeing less three point landings. On the other hand, Will Ospreay beat Kushida for the Junior Heavyweight singles title, so whatever he does that you dislike, you'll be seeing plenty more.

On the other hand, that may free Kushida up for a run in ROH against Jay Lethal...assuming Lethal retains against Briscoe Friday and then retains against O'Reilly. And you say that there is no one left?

Well, anyway, I'm not exactly sure where the naming scheme for the Ring of Honor page came from(the start, the loss of RF, the first Japanese tour, the television title created for HD Net) but the time periods and events they indicated enough made sense to me. However, I decided to add two more, representing the shift from HD Net to Sinclair broadcast group and ROH's brief grasp at nation wide distribution before Destination America dropped them, moving "current breed" to 2016. Any protests? Would you rather us copy That Other Wiki(which combines the HD Net and Sinclair stretch) or have some other suggestion?

Someone can get a wellness violation for having high blood pressure?

So this whole New Day vs. Wyatt family thing.
I want to like them both. This does not seem like the right time to pit them against each other. Maybe last year back when both were enjoyable heels, one could've turned face, but now it'll seem like a waste. I want the New Day to get the tag team record, and I want this angle they're having with Bray having a pull on Woods to end with a happy ending.

Even if New Day turns heel again. I still like them as faces, but I liked them more as heels.

[citation needed] but the general thrust of the Wellness Policy is that it covers anything that might cause a wrestler to be unfit to wrestle. A wrestler with high blood pressure is going to bleed more heavily in the ring and is at a higher risk for cardiac events. And, of course, high blood pressure is associated with prohibited substances such as Adderall and steroids, as well as being associated with obesity, with wrestlers such as Rikishi were hit with via the Wellness Policy.
