No 40K thread yet? I'm surprised. Nay, shocked, shocked I say to discover there's gambling going on in this establishment...
I'm eagerly anticipating the imminent 5th Edition release, personally, but I was interested to know if anyone here plays and has a differing opinion on it. There are certainly plenty of people out there who seem to think that 40K 4th edition "only just" came out and that a new edition isn't needed. Anyone?
Warhammer Fantasy (including Age of Sigmar and WFRP) has its own thread here.

OK, so that's the Heavy Flamer done◊.
Also found a Tycho model that's going to need stripping and repainting.

"Yup. That tasted purple."
Going by those attempts a size comparison... it doesn't look that big compared to a Riptide or even an ordinary Crisis suit.
And given that one of the Tau's more frequent foes are the 'Nids, I can imagine they might want to test alternatives for taking on Bio-titans.

Looks good. Which Tycho will you be using him as, regular or Death Company?
Depends what I can find in the bits box once he's been stripped.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Looks good, DBL.
I basecoated the green for my Rhino over the weekend but haven't had time to do anything else...gonna work some black into this one, probably on the doors and those recessed areas on the sides.
So it's still smaller than a Warhound titan?
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Say, the Primarchs who managed to conquer much if not all of their worlds before the Emperor met them would count as Young Conquerors due to having been much younger chronologically than they actually looked at the time of their conquests, no?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Yeah... I think Roboute was in his 20s, when found? I think he was seventh to be found, incidentally.
Conception is sin Birth is pain Life is toil Death is inevitableThat Tau suit looks cool. Impractical from the Tau perspective, but cool.
They all reach physical adulthood within less than 5 years on average, IIRC. Guilliman may have very well been ruling his world for decades by the time he was found.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Well, no.
At least, if Unremembered Empire is to be believed. Guilliman recalls already needing custom furniture past 10, but he still wasn't fully grown.
Conception is sin Birth is pain Life is toil Death is inevitableAs I said, on average. Sanguinius looked like an adult man by the end of his first year. At such a rapid growth rate, he'd reach his gigantic stature within less than 10 years.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I like to think Alpharius took just as long as a normal person to age up...
Nonsense, there is not primach call alfarius neither the so call "alfa legiĆ³n" said otherwise is heresy
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"How can we know what Alpharius did when we don't even know which one's Alpharius?
"Yup. That tasted purple."The memetic Alpha Legion are the reason why I hope that when the HH books get to Eskrador, they're set from Alpharius' pov until he's violently beaten to death by Guilliman.
Deadbeatloser's Ro-500 avvie just gave me a hilarious idea: Imagine if destroyed/scrapped Imperial vessels returned to serve humanity as (probably gigantic) mecha musume!

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I remember imagining these nice upper-class nobles dining in a restaurant inside a Titan while a battle was raging outside.

"I say, Princeps old lad, that Gargant appears to be readying some sort of cannon."
"Oh I do hope the impact won't upset the tea."
I am now watching If The Emperor Had A Text To Speech Device, and busting my ribs repeatedly.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.
Well Forge World anyway so we will have to see how many times it get mentioned in other fluff but it was inevitable after the Riptide.
