Warhammer 40,000

It is a Tzeentch-based mutation(?). He will get exposure to the raw will of Tzeentch changes and mutates his body, replacing all his previous gifts with new ones. Or at least that's my understanding of it.

Huh, the name makes sense a bit after all.

Sounds like it turns him into a Phyrexian.

Yeah, he passes out for 1d10 hours and when he wakes up all his gifts are replaced with new ones.

Also, we're currently in a Dark Mechanicum facility.

So, if I immediately pass out it's gonna raise some questions about the cause.

Decided to break off from painting the Termies and do up the Ironclad I've had sitting around for ages now...gonna run with the power fist, seismic hammer, Ironclad assault launchers, and I've swapped the default weapons for dual heavy flamers. I've put the melta on the chainfist. Debating on whether or not to magnetize the hunter-killer missiles or not mess with them.

Looks like there's going to be a new Knights kit coming out next week...here's the teaser.

Yup. Knight Warden and Knight Crusader models are incoming. Plus an updated Knight codex. It'll probably be more in line with the new rules for the Wraithknight.

I think I had an X-Men action figure like those guys in the middle with the treads for lower torsos. Also, robutts.

Still calling BS on stretching these AdMech models over two codices.

I've got a problem with Black Crusade. The core rulebook says the Swarm and Horde rules are incompatible, and yet the Hand Of Corruption campaign mentions "Magnitude (number) hordes of canoptek scarabs" (who have the Swarm trait) several times...

Not a big fan of those big robots on the bottom right side tho, their design is kinda... meh, too clean I guess.

Also, the miniature models for Assassinorum: Execution Force are awesome-looking! Neat◊, actually neat◊.

So, my Dark Heresy character is an Assassin.

With the Hidden Blades from Assassins Creed.

He's also sort of a Death Cult Assassin without actually belonging to a Death Cult.

And using mostly guns.

The crew for our Rogue Trader session is actually doing pretty good. We pulled off a big heist after weeks of planning and execution, upgraded the ship, and our newest Dark Eldar member is actually sticking around for once. Next session will probably involve trading and reporting what we've seen in the locations we travelled to.

I finished my Ironclad...well, last night, but trying to get good lighting for pics in this house at night is an exercise in futility so I'm going to try again tomorrow. I picked up some Game Color paints and am going to experiment with them before I move on to anything else.

Looks good, I like the battle damage.

I've been getting my Imperial Guard ready for the Throne of Skulls in June but I am unfortunately getting a little bored of painting the grey and black colour scheme

Thanks! I was afraid I might have overdone it a bit in parts but at a distance the effect looks pretty good.

I'm working on a few unhelmeted Marines, trying to get that part of the painting down and work on a color scheme. The Game Color paints ended up being a bust (same issues with colors not being right as the Model Color paints) but Vallejo's airbrush thinner does a really good job of thinning Citadel paints and I think that using it, I can make Warpstone Glow work to my liking. As soon as I get these guys done, I'm going to start on the Terminators.

Looking good at a distance is generally what I go for and what I advise others to go for as well.

You know, I have been wondering... In the case of a hypothetical crossover between the Sailor Moon and Warhammer Forty Thousand universes, would it be farfetched if the character Chaos from the former were treated as synonymous with the hypothetical personification of Chaos Undivided from the latter setting, i.e. the four Ruinous Powers of Chaos are "just" another set of incarnations of Sailor Moon's Ultimate Evil?

I know pretty much nothing about Sailor Moon, but from that description I wouldn't argue with that.

Yup.

Starting work on my Terminators...the new Citadel basecoating brush is pretty good (picked up that and the small drybrush yesterday) but I'm reminded of how tedious basecoating is, especially when you have to do multiple coats.

So... Chaos (as the corruption of the originally harmonious Warp) is a Sentient Cosmic Force, right? Because I'm surprised that the trope is missing from Warhammer 40,000: Forces of Chaos.

Speaking of which, does anyone with a better grasp on how Chaos/the Warp fits the trope than I do right now mind if they take on the task of fleshing out the Sentient Cosmic Force entry in Warhammer40000.W40k Tropes Q To Z out of the Zero Context Example that it is at the moment?

So for the next 4 hours or so all of the Warhammer 40k games are available for $21 through the Humble Bundle store.

Normally all together they're like $140 so I'd get on this right away.

Shame that I already have all of the Dawn of War games.

An acquaintance of mine made an AU 40k setting that's based of Wuxia and other Chinese fantasy tropes IN SPACE rather than western fantasy.
