No 40K thread yet? I'm surprised. Nay, shocked, shocked I say to discover there's gambling going on in this establishment...
I'm eagerly anticipating the imminent 5th Edition release, personally, but I was interested to know if anyone here plays and has a differing opinion on it. There are certainly plenty of people out there who seem to think that 40K 4th edition "only just" came out and that a new edition isn't needed. Anyone?
Warhammer Fantasy (including Age of Sigmar and WFRP) has its own thread here.

Yes, they are the Warhammer equivalent of the Westboro Baptist Church (Fanatics even by fanatics' standards)... If the WBC was composed of badasses obsessed with purifying and purging everything and actually got shit done.
Have you forgotten the face of your father, troper?Comparing the lunatic, pyromaniac fanatics of the Crusade of the Red Redemption with the WBC is an insult to the Receptionists.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellThe Cult of the Red Redemption even features in Dark Heresy, and is an actual alternate career choice in one of the supplements — Blood of Martyrs, IIRC.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I suppose I was asking for this; in my Total War game the World Eaters turned traitor along with most of my legions XD
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.You could hardly ask for a better end to their story.
@ transfer discussion: I put down gloss varnish first, put the transfer on, sealed it with another layer of gloss varnish and then matt varnish with...mixed success. I think I'm going to get some proper stuff for the job, I'm not entirely happy with the way that they have turned out so far.
With cannon shot and gun blast smash the alien. With laser beam and searing plasma scatter the alien to the stars.I'm thinking of making another gladiator-only Legion called the War Hounds and trying to hunt them down with them XD
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.No, call them the Space Wolves!
Halper's Law: as the length of an online discussion of minority groups increases, the probability of "SJW" or variations being used = 1.Heh, I'm going through the various Titan Legions first, then I'll be doing Space Marine chapters XD I think I founded like ten other legions during the civil war, once they're all gone I can found more XD
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.What game are you talking about now?
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntTotal War Rome II. You can name your armies things and I've been going through Titan Legions while playing as Rome xD

You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents.I've joined a local gaming group on FB, maybe in the next coupla months I can start getting some games under my belt.
Okay I have been thinking about making a Character Page for Necromunda (mainly to familiarise myself with the process and various tropes) but I was wondering what to include on it. The six House Gangs and the four gangs from the Outlanders supplement (Scvvies, Redemptionists, Ratskins and Spyres) are a definite, as are the special character Hired Guns. There are two other gangs that have had both rules and models (Enforces & Pit Slaves) who should probably be included as well. I am not as sure about the Genestealer cult (who had Chapter Approved rules when that was a thing but no models) and Ash Waste Nomads (who did have some models but I am not sure how official the rules are for them). Then there are characters from the comics who later got models and rules such as Karl Jerico and The Redeemer.

Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellLast night I ordered a Paintier 40. Hopefully this will be a good investment, trying to keep up with my paints now is a pain. Also got a couple more dice sets...I'm gonna be one of those weirdos that has specific dice for various things like rolling in the psychic phase, different weapons, hull points, etc.
You know, for an arts-focused company, they have a hideous website
Yeah, it's pretty amateurish, isn't it?

In other news, I got an email from GW with the subject "Nourished by atrocity" and I actually had to check it to see what was actually being talked about. (Dark Eldar, incidentally.) How bad is it when the topic "nourished by atrocity" can refer to between two and five different factions depending on how you define "atrocity"?

If you are talking about the ones that started in Necromunda, then yes they are cool (like a lot of things from that game).
