Elephants are, in fact, depicted as rocs' primary food source in Scheherezade's stories.

I think the one in the 3.5 Monster Manual is carrying a dolphin.

Because it's weird.

Magitek gives me life.

Wait, that makes me sound like some kind of golem.

Magic and technology interacting in really mundane ways is interesting to me. A spell to keep the ship afloat would require too much maintance and is subject to failure, but a spell to conjure lighter than air gas is fare more practical. I love that.

Well, that's spectacularly Elan-ish.

Well, I'd panic if Elan successfully started channelling Eugene.

Random encounters. Elan brought this up way back when. You always have to deal with exactly one when moving from point A to point B.

With the way storytelling has evolved, this one might be more plot-centric than most.

I keep wanting to see that giant with the single eye-slit as a callback to the "Cylops" joke, but it just doesn't quite resolve.

This feels distinctly un-random.

Maybe Durkula let them know some humans would be impeding on their territory or something.

Also the frost giant demigod voted to destroy the world, so he might have instructed his followers to get in the way of the Order.

I think it was during the Azure City arc. Sabine was posing as an Azurite and thought Nale was cheating on her with Haley. Then she got drunk in a bar and started talking to V.

To be more accurate, she thought Nale was going to kill Hailey without her and she was right.

Oh yeah. I forgot about that twist.

She also offered V advice on fighting Tarquin. But that could easily have just been to avenge Nale.

It was, but she may have also been paying back the favour V (inadvertently) did her at that time.

Re-calling that incident now, it adds an extra wrinkle to her decision to help V.
