Mmmm, if they did, I don't know how old it would be, since DK was extracting the power part before the river leaves the castle grounds, if somewhat inefficiently the past couple decades. Certainly no one could have gotten any very recently. I think.

That last disclaimer sounds like an Obvious Rule Patch with a story behind it...
It was going so well until it exploded.Hello! I just went back and got into GG after letting it sit and build updates for a few years (I think the last update I read was shortly after Tweedle and Agatha left Mechanicsburg.)
I'm liking the Paris arc so far, though! Getting somewhat frustrated with the frequent damsel-ing of Tarvek, but otherwise I'm enjoying the backstory on Voltaire and Valois.
Ah, I guess I was just looking for a place to talk about everything.
That's what this is!
At least with Tarvek's kidnapping, Grandma sent someone who could actually put Tarvek into damsel mode. That kind of detail is much appreciated; having that kind of nonsense happen without reason just to further the plot is annoying.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettSee Agatha's many kidnappings.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpI think that the example could be seen onto gender equality with the kidnappings of protagonists. I recall that it is seen also in the order of the stick when in one arc Elan mentions that he could access to some hostage prestige class as well as someone else commenting that it was a great day for gender equality.
I am guessing Tarvek is making the gender equality happen by having him be the hostage a lot in a very short amount of time... that would be some good PR.

Well here goes nothingNot really related, but I remember a while back when I was reading an author's annotations of one of his books. He was worried that he had made one of the characters too much of a Damsel in Distress during the climax, but figured he'd inverted that trope enough times in one of his other series that he'd evened it out.

This is an automated program that checks the Sneaky Gate every 5 minutes. source codeSmart cookie. Maybe we'll finish this fight sometime before the new year after all!
Wait what? 11:34 PM for me, comic isn't up yet.
It was going so well until it exploded. No NO NOOOOOO! Nasty Green And Rotting is now LOSING HIS BRASS PANTS! Some things I do NOT want to see, no no no. Perhaps his royal jewels and scepter are no longer there (gone with his skin and lips, perhaps.) If we have to see his hips, well, so be it, but spare us his generative organs Foglios!

Well here goes nothingWell, Voltaire studied under van Rijn, I suppose it makes sense he'd know how to melt the things van Rijn made. Needed an impressive amount of power. I hope it didn't blow the plants.
The Master's last speech bubble has me worried for his health.
And Agatha is watching, a spectator. When is she pulled in?
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the jolly fun oxidation enhancer.
I wonder... is Andy upset just because his prized weapons are being melted (which, admittedly, is quite sad. They were really cool.), or because of something more? The sword was linked to him, after all. Does that mean he can feel its "pain"? Will melting the sword weaken Andy beside leaving him unarmed? What if the only thing keeping him "alive" was his connection with the sword, which has, I assume, just "died" (and wouldn't that be an anticlimax!). Does his link to the sword require energy on his part, and does its melting free that energy up? Am I overthinking this??
Also yes, let's hope he has melt-proof undies. And, if so, that they're heart-patterned. I can totally imagine that, as little as I want to.
It was going so well until it exploded.I assumed it was the armour keeping him alive, and that's what the problem is. The weapons may only be collateral damage.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Interesting. It seems that the Jolly Fun Oxidation Enhancer was from Paris
I guess the true Universal Solvent is overwhelming power.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Wow, he just melted the legendary sword and the Platonic Solid just like that. Luckily it seems that Andronicus' body is mostly gelatinous protoplasm at this point, so even if his armor does melt off all the way, we won't see any undead dangly bits.
Nice move, Voltaire.
So does Andronicus have access to a copy of that volume the Heterodynes own? Using Found Objects as Weapons?

Agatha should carry a small vial of Dyne water around for times like this. Cue hornpipe music.
I wonder if one of those underground shops might have a few mL?
