This is an automated program that checks the Sneaky Gate every 5 minutes. source codeAre they really going to do that thing where whoever makes a better rhetorical argument also gains momentary upper hand in the fight? I guess if it ain't broke and all...
Wow. A lot of exposition there.
Oh dear. That whole bit about Eurosyphnia being in van Rjinn's workshop -her being somehow involved with the Other isn't looking so off the wall now.
Colette doesn't look that surprised to see Dinky DK being offered to help. Uh huh.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettI just realized, under that fancy armor, Tweedle's wearing a suit. That can't be good for the suit.
I wonder if Euphrosynia got caught up in some time shenanigans? If van Rijn wanted somehow to make it up to his friend and set up conditions so that he would be frozen in time until Euphrosynia's time shenanigans brought her to the same point in time and space (approximately of course, since she's not been seen yet)?
We know the jaegers said that Euphrosynia was a good girl, which makes me wonder which man little DK is rooting for in that last panel. It certainly seems like Andronicus was on her side, even though Agatha is antagonistic to him at the moment.
I really hope we aren't going to end up with some confusing mess of time travel where Euphrosynia turns out to be Lucrezia, The Other, Gil's mom, the Muse of Time, Agatha's dead older brother (this one), arranged all of this from the start, and made Hitler win WW2 by the end of this.

It was going so well until it exploded. You forgot to add Agatha to your list - in the future she gets locked into a parallel dimension, goes back in time, comes out in Castle Heterodyne in the past, meets Andronicus, and somehow gets sent away again in Van Rijn's laboratory.
One thing that seems unlikely is for Euphrosynia to be van Rijn's Muse of Time, I'd expect him to have recognized her, if only her voice.
I'm not saying that I get a cookie for that off-the-wall prediction in @49233 yet, but someone's preheating the oven.
I'm kind of getting the feeling that the founders of the Heterodyne legacy were even more clever and capable than the more recent evil vintage. I feel like, in terms of big-time evil and/or insane plots, it's always Agatha's distant relatives coming through, as opposed to her grandfather or great-grandfather.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Although Agatha's paternal grandfather was trying not to be evil -with patchy success. (Looks at Chibi-Chewie.)
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettVoltaire has achieved one of my life goals. He's remarkably hard to get rid of!
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!Hmm, I don't expect a lightning attack will do much damage to the Storm King...
Gets back on track after some stuff in real life... I guess that at this point Agatha is kinda on the ball to some extent and just thought of something.
As much as Voltaire has fulfilled the tough to kill, as Old Bear has noted, I've just drawn a parallel... In this verse if Sparks get to parents or grandparents age the Papa Wolf and stuff include stuff far above most thresholds which can lead to the following:
As much as Voltaire wants to keep a large family it also means that some of the family members had a lot of trouble to be able to date or anything if Voltaire was willing to open the Master of Paris power on any prospective date. Colette while admired and all has a lot of people whom are onto "no girl is worth risking that".
Well here goes nothingWith a powerful daddy and that many big brothers? Crush from a distance would be a thing.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettAnd even that might prove hazardous if you ever said anything about it. "The Walls have ears!"

This is an automated program that checks the Sneaky Gate every 5 minutes. source codeAh, Tweedle's showing some small modicum of good sense. Still, good luck with that!
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!More like even the sword hates Tweedle...
Well here goes nothingI do love how dubious Agatha is about Tweedle's plan. I hope Tarvek, who has studied Andronicus, will be able to mitigate Tweedle's foolish move. I don't think any of the Storm King candidates is going to be able to beat Andronicus; it would disrupt the plot too much right now. It will probably have to be a group effort, with Voltaire doing the heavy lifting and getting most of the credit.
I'm ridiculously pleased that I realized "it" was Archimedes' Lever. I'm usually so wrong about these things.
Is anyone surprised by Tweedle's line in that last panel?
Tweedle goes down in metaphorical or real flames, Tarvek and Agatha dodge in and haul things back from utter destruction, Voltaire and Colette rally and clear the field. And somewhere in there Gil arrives and the wasping is thwarted.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettAgatha's expression is the classic "your plan isn't a plan" look you generally find on teachers deciding that they'll warn you about, but not stop you from getting, a very painful outcome as part of a lesson.
So Tweedle is a Butt-Monkey who also Kicked The Dog - if the Foglios follow the rules of narrative it sure he'll fail in a spectacular and humiliating way, but then, that's a big if, and there has also been some interesting character development with that guy.
I like that Agatha uses "when he takes it away from you", not "if" ...
A 85.3% chance of success is still a 14.7% chance of failure.
It was going so well until it exploded. He's using selective statistics. He's forgotten to factor in Sod's Law as it pertains to narrative structure. Also... he's in a Heterodyne tale, not a Storm King epic. Worse, Storm Kings are only hypothetical; Heterodynes, however, are an established feature.
I think he needs to flip the probabilities around and rethink the whole underdog-top dog thing. He's trying to be pack leader, but all the signs point to him not being it. Heck, I don't think there's going to be a space for "Emperor of All Europa" by the end of this tale. :/

"he's in a Heterodyne tale, not a Storm King epic."
I find this hysterically funny for some reason.

Who would Sun be madder at? Andronicus, for exerting himself so much after waking up from 200 years of stasis, or The Master/Agatha and friends for fighting him?
