It could be that he's energizing the portal so that he can return to the Radical Land.

It will turn out that Doc created the rift in the first place by being rad.

But he never said he was planning on returning to Radical Land.

He never said he doesn't plan to.

Actually, he's never elaborated on his ultimate plans vis a vis the portal at all, really.

Maybe he's being radical to seal the portal.

But the portal becomes MORE active when he's being radical.

He's overloading it?

Could Rad's plan be a project combining radical and badness?

Looks like the IRS has really committed to hiring better goons. Beefy guys in suits and sunglasses just don't cut it anymore I guess.
