YMMV / Wanya Kingdom VS Awoofy Unity

  • Awesome Music: Courtesy of one creator, some characters get cool themes.
    • "Seemingly Eternal Hatred For The Universe", Yoshi's fight theme when in his dark form. It starts out as an 8-bit tune before transitioning into dubstep, with a piano playing over Yoshi's Leitmotif. It even incorporates The Force's Theme towards the end.
    • "Stellar Eclipse", Eclipse's fight theme. It takes a simple yet catchy melody and expands on it throughout the first part, before diving into leitmotifs from OMORI, namely "White Space", "You Were Wrong. Go Back.", and "World's End Valentine". After a breakdown, the drop sees the song change keys, reprising the melody from the beginning.
    • While "Vs. Poppins" was fine in its own right, "Burst Your Bubble", its reimagining from a year later, is awesome, with a trap beat and expansive melody.
    • "The Grand Unifier", Dwight's fight theme, is a symphonic rock piece that incorporates the main theme from The Office.
    • "Battle With the Girl from the Realm Beyond", Nyx's fight theme, is a 7-minute-long song. It starts with an insane piano part, before breaking out the entire orchestra to play a beautiful melody. This then transitions into a harsh electronic beat with a frantic violin playing overtop (earning this section the nickname "violin abuse"), which then plays "Sweet Trap" from Honkai Impact 3rd. The rest of the orchestra comes back to play shortly before returning to another frantic electronic beat.
  • Fashion-Victim Villain: Overlord Chyss' armor has very large shoulder pads. Most people find this funny rather than intimidating.
  • Ham and Cheese: A lot of earlier attempts at drama are pretty cheesy in hindsight, such as Yoshi's Large Ham moments in the original Apocalypse Arc.
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • Yoshi dying. Explanation
    • whos the renposter Explanation
    • Ren and the stairs. Explanation (spoilers!)
  • Nausea Fuel: Khorro's design seems to be made specifically for this, being a big worm with a Lamprey Mouth and far too many insect-like legs.
  • Platonic Writing, Romantic Reading:
    • Robert and Nyx are written to be very good friends, but they were shipped for some time before Nyx's creator pointed out that she is hundreds of years older than Robert and that this would make their relationship a Mayfly–December Romance.
    • Eclipse and Sundown eventually ended up coming to like each other as friends, but their dynamic caused some to ship them instead.
  • Player Punch: Those who were following the Kenji's storyline expressed great anger at Ren's betrayal of the other employees.
  • Popularity Polynomial: Both wikis have gone through several phases of popularity and decay.
  • Portmanteau Couple Name: "Popwight" (formerly called "Dwightina" due to Poppins' name being different) and "Yoshpeon" are used for Poppins x Dwight and Yoshi x NES respectively. This is also done In-Universe with the same couples.
  • The Scrappy: The group of characters known as the "Lily Gang", named after their creator. Each one is poorly-developed, overpowered to the point of unfairness (except one), and has the exact same personality (that being "way too nice and completely without flaws"). The creator's ban (and the Lily Gang's subsequent Cessation of Existence) was celebrated across the wiki.
  • Sequelitis: Some users of the original wiki disliked Forgorian Legacies because of it being in an alternate timeline (hence a total reset in character development) and having no focus on a war of any sort (which was the original idea of the first wiki).
  • Shock Fatigue: Killing Yoshi off and then reviving him became a joke among the creators because it happened so many times. It even becomes a joke In-Universe.
  • Signature Series Arc: The first Apocalypse Arc.
  • Strangled by the Red String: Yoshi and NES' romance is considered by some to have been rushed and not had enough buildup.
  • Super Couple: Poppins and Dwight are the most popular ship in the original Waddle Wars, to the point where nearly every creator was invested in them.
  • Take That, Scrappy!: Upon their creator's ban, the Lily Gang was deleted from the roleplay… but not before Nerdee tied them all to an enormous firework and blew them up. Needless to say, there was much rejoicing.
  • The Woobie: It's hard not to feel bad for Poppins. She starts out as an innocent and excitable Genki Girl, but loses that attitude as the wiki goes forward, and eventually goes through a Trauma Conga Line resulting in her becoming seriously depressed and despondent. On top of all that, her arc is never resolved due to her Cessation of Existence (since her creator left), so she ends up miserable until the end of her days.
  • Writer Cop Out: The nuke ended every single possible continuation of the story simply because the creators didn't feel like continuing it.
