YMMV / The Oddities

• Badass Decay: The Oddities went through this at the end of 1998 to the beginning of 1999, as they became a low midcard comedy act without a push.
  • The Jackyl put together the Acolytes, who, of course, joined The Undertaker's Ministry of Darkness, on his way out of the company.
  • Sable, Luna Vachon and Insane Clown Posse all abandoned the group, thus depriving the Oddities (by now Golga, Kurrgan, the Giant Silva and George "The Animal" Steele) of anyone who could cut promos for them.
  • They got stuck on the weekend B Shows, Jakked/Metal and Sunday Night Heat, in an endless feud with The Headbangers before going into an even more directionless one against Too Much (Brian Christopher and Scott Taylor) and the DOA (8-Ball and Skull). With nobody cutting promos and no explanation given for why they were feuding in the first place, the Oddities were essentially being buried on their way out the door. Also, as the product grew darker and harsher via Vince Russo, the Oddities looked, well, even more out of place than they had before.
  • On the January 25, 1999 Raw, the Oddities were in the ring and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion the Rock came out and threatened all four guys at once. Granted, it's the Rock, but, still, ONLY in pro wrestling would you see a situation where one regular sized guy on his own could threaten four guys whose combined weight was close to 1 1/2 TONS, and the four guys would be the ones at the disadvantage.
  • The Oddities were there for Steele's match against Droz, which Droz won after ramming Steele's head into the exposed turnbuckle in 48 seconds. Droz defeated Kurrgan a week later after a broomstick shot to the throat from the outside in 1:53. Giant Silva never faced him on the ring, but he was attacked by Droz and beaten down with a chair.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Kurrgan/Golga/Silva defeated Steve Corino/Lance Diamond/Jimmy Cicero on the December 12 (taped December 1), 1998 WWF Shotgun Saturday Night. Corino would go on to win more gold than everyone else in the match combined.
