Audience-Coloring Adaptation: When fan work of any kind is made of Four Swords, odds are it'll end up pulling from the manga, due to it giving the four Links and Shadow Link their own individual personalities rather than simply just being The Dividual and a Mirror Self respectively.
Draco in Leather Pants: Shadow gets this treatment in sequelfics or fanfics shipping him with Vio, portraying him as a "poor, misunderstood person who did no wrong". Bonus points if he is/was abused by Vaati in order to make the audience sympathetic for him. However, this treatment later started to wind down.
Fridge Brilliance: Each of the three Links created by the Four Sword matches one of the the three virtues of the Triforce. Blue is a strong, aggressive fighter (Power), Vio is analytical and calculating (Wisdom), and Red is willing to fight alongside the other Links despite his inadequacies and relative weakness (Courage).
Hilarious in Hindsight: Early on, Green mocks Blue's claim to be the original Link by saying "Everyone knows Link dresses in green!" Since The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Link's blue clothes have become just as popular, if not more so, than his green ones.
Take That, Scrappy!: Unintentionally, this manga gives plenty of this to the American haters of Tingle when Vio beats him with a sledgehammer, and later when he complains about being left out of the finale of the manga and it's revealed the reader didn't see him because he was crushed by a giant Force Gem.
