- Fridge Brilliance: The Royal Guards are fighting badly against the Human forces. At first it seems that it is because of the huge technological gap but when it's revealed Queen Chrysalis has been in control of Equestria for almost two months and took Celestia's form, its likely that she purposely left the Guard unprepared and sent them to be slaughtered so her Changeling army could take Equestria unopposed when all is said and done.
- In short her "Ass" in Ambassador technique, her stupid tendencies, and the Royal Guards being Harmless Villains? Its All According to Plan.
- Fridge Horror:
- It a Foregone Conclusion that the Human allies are going to win the war (and in record time). Assuming the Royal Guards aren't Slave Mooks (it might not mater anyway), high officials such as Shining Armor will be tried for war crimes such as using the Ponification potion (which has been classified as a chemical weapon) and planning a xenocide campaign. Whether they were abiding by My Country, Right or Wrong or not, it won't end well for them.
- On a less extreme scale, the Western Allies and the Soviets are charging into Equestria practically unopposed (yes, this has happened before.) Assuming the post war situation of what to do with the occupied country degrades into what happened last time, Equestria may just be divided into the Federal Republic of Equestria and the Equestrian Democratic Republic, Canterlot split into West and East Canterlot, and perhaps a Canterlot Wall.
- It's Short, So It Sucks!: Some readers complained about the short length of the chapters.
