YMMV / The Burger King

Go To

  • Creepy Awesome: Come on, there is just something great about this guy... somewhere in there. He has a creepy mask, but he has a cool beard, crown and outfit overall, and all he really does want to do is not molest you—he just wants to bring you food for you to eat. While being creepy at the same time. Win-win!
  • Fandom Rivalry: Usually isn't shown getting along with Ronald McDonald...
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: One ad was of a young Sarah Michelle Gellar saying rival burger chains (and she drops one by name) have less meat. As an adult her trimness would be brought up numerous times in her roles.
  • Memetic Molester: As the page says, at Burger King, you have it your way. The Burger King, though, has it his way.
  • Memetic Mutation: Pretty much everything about the King and his weirdness. Even though he's rarely even used anymore, he is certainly remembered for how strange he was.
  • Paranoia Fuel: He could be anywhere. He's like a burger-carrying headcrab.
  • Spiritual Successor: Sneak King has gameplay mechanics VERY similar to Rockstar's Manhunt video game series, just change 'violently murdering convicts' to 'surprising hungry folks with lunch'.
  • The Problem with Licensed Games: To an extent. (though mainly skewing towards So Bad, It's Good) All three of the games were well-received, although the low price tag (five bucks each when they came out) may have something to do with it, plus the fact each game disc worked in either an Xbox 360 or the original Xbox. Of the three, though, Sneak King was the most popular, which received a Colbert Bump from The Completionist.
