  • Awesome Music:
    • "Vanishing", the second song of Jerry's week, was already a pretty catchy, oddly somber track in older versions, but the remake added in the 2.0 update gives it a much-desired glow-up that takes advantage of sliding notes and a more upbeat instrumental that allow it to stand out even more from the week's other two songs.
    • "Tragical Comedy" has that Lux Æterna-feeling similar to "Dejection", which really adds to the "tragical" part, specially with the background deep keyboard melody that's maintained during the song. Then the percussion starts to outburst and gives tension to the rest of the track along with more notes coming from Tom and Boyfriend's vocals... only to then getting calmer again like in the beginning. It really gives the feeling of despair and uselessness in fighting that fits for Week 2.
    • "Shattered" is more fast-paced and active than "Tragical Comedy", even if they both have the same pitches. This not only makes it for a more climatic last song in a somber week, but also manages to be probably the saddest and more tragic out of the 3 songs (especially with the flashbacks midsong).
    • "Hydrophobia" makes it clear from the start that you're in for an incredibly intense death metal track and doesn't let that intensity die for even a moment, creating a stressfully frenetic backing to a battle with one of the mod's most bloodthirsty opponents.
    • Despite being That One Level gameplay-wise (shown below), you gotta admit "Mucho Mouse" is a really good song for a "Megalovania" parody remix, having some somber aspects to the track like its original base song and adding some melodic music box in some parts.
  • Most Wonderful Sound: The Depressed Tom's voice sounds like that of a solemn vocalist singing one of his sad songs. And this is Tom we're talking about here; y'know, the same character who gives those hilariously iconic yet loud screams. Sure, it's not the first time he sang in the series, but it was mostly either with Frank Sinatra's style of jazz and blues singing or an opera lyric soprano (which none of them are bad at all, either!) than a more calm and somber voice (though it could also be a bit jarring given his situation). Not bad for a depressed cat.
  • Narm: Famished’s spoken line in the middle of his song, “Desire or Despair” would normally be quite disturbing, but loses it’s effect when most people can barely make out what he’s saying from how incredibly deep his voice is, on top of how the lines are delivered in a stilted manner as if spoken by someone who is struggling to read English.
  • Padding: “Sirokou”, Jerry’s last song in his week, suffers from this. There are 2 sections where Jerry and Boyfriend pause with nothing but the same two jumpscares being constantly flashed onto the screen, all the while ear-gratingly loud bass-boosted sounds play along with them. Both times, they last 18 seconds, the same amount of time it takes for the song to properly start.
  • So Okay, It's Average: General consensus is that while the mod has some great spritework and a few solid songs, both tend to be rather inconsistent in terms of quality and the gameplay itself tends towards the negative, whether it be due to poor charting or annoying mechanics.
  • Tear Jerker: Week 2 is already sad in and of itself (being already based on a sad episode), but its last song, "Shattered", specially midsong onwards, proves to be the icing on the malformed cake. In it, we see something similar and just as sad as Squidward's flashbacks in "Doomsday", showing Tom remembering all the ways he tried and failed to conquer the love of his life, all the sacrifices he did to get all those gifts for her lover that became useless in the end, like misspending all of his life savings and even selling himself into slavery, him getting drunk with milk in the bar, his attempted lover finally getting married to his love rival, the point where he's now, and at one point... even him with Jerry when they were living as friends (something which, just to remind you, appears in rare moments in the series). Tom's down pose shows him actually shedding Broken Tears, as if getting frustrated at the fact that not only he couldn't get his girlfriend, but probably also feels remorse, as he may think he lost his best friend, too. After the flashbacks, we see the lights of the train getting closer. In the ending cutscene, we see in full detail what it was implied at the end of the real episode: Tom effectively gets run over by the train, not even having Jerry on his side and getting what he wanted without anything changing his mind, just like Squidward or Mickey in the Bad Ending. Another character that got killed voluntarily without thinking about a second chance. Boyfriend surviving gets moot compared to this.
  • That One Level: "Mucho Mouse" likely wasn't intended to be a particularly difficult song in comparison to the rest of the mod, but it ends up as this thanks to one very annoying gimmick. Throughout the song, Mousetale Jerry forcibly moves the game window around the screen, a mechanic that normally shouldn't be too much of an issue. However, the screen has a tendency to move to areas that completely block the player's view of some or even all of the arrows, making it practically impossible to FC the song without immense luck or excessive memorization.
  • They Copied It, So It Sucks!: A fair bit of criticism has been directed towards the mod's similarities to Vs Sonic.exe, an inspiration it wears on its sleeve. From its large cast of horror-based characters and Mythology Gags to its format (a handful of main weeks and a truckload of bonus songs in freeplay) and even direct references to EXE (two expies and a "Triple Trouble" cover), these similarities have led to a few accusations of hopping on the rather infamous trend of large-scale creepypasta-inspired mods, turning some away from TBS.
