• Crosses the Line Twice: An assassin hits Beta Tester #1 with his car and shoots him dead. It's a quite serious scene until we see the man casually driving back to Nintendo, with the company's iconic logo being prominently displayed like they're some Evil, Inc.. Fear the Nintendo Ninjas! And because the Tester is represented by Marx, the final boss of Kirby Super Star, his violent death is hilariously set to the cheerful and triumphant victory jingle from that game.
• Funny Moments:
  • Although Beta Tester #1's death is quite definitely horrifying, the Mood Whiplash of the cheerful Milky Way Wishes music from Marx's death scene playing as the person who murdered him drives off is pretty funny. According to Maple Riot, this was on purpose.
  • Maple Riot animated a trailer for a non-canon Friday Night Funkin' fan mod titled Funkin Traumatized. It portrays Boyfriend greeting TMK and immediately hanging himself to challenge the entity in its home realm. TMK is completely baffled and barely notices Boyfriend sneaking on him like nothing happened.
    "WHAT. THE. FU--"
• Narm: While intended to be unnerving, the extreme, bloody violence and semi-realistic gory sound effects can come off as rather funny; it doesn't help that dubbing over footage of the Kirby games with Stock Sound Effects has been done a fair few times by the YouTube Poop community, such as this video from all the way back in 2009!
• Jerkass Woobie: Poor "Dedede" may be a Bad Boss whose negligence inadvertently led to the spread of TMK to begin with, but he didn’t deserve to lose his young son over it, and his dismissive attitude was less out of jerkassery and more of him underestimating just what TMK could do when pushed.
• Nightmare Fuel:
  • The death of Brent Cole, and the picture of his hanged body after succumbing to TMK (though it’s thankfully obscured by a Shadow Discretion Shot).
  • There’s a brief scene of gameplay, where Kirby inhales an enemy...but instead of spitting it out whole, he spits out a mouthful of blood.
  • The Beta Tester 1's death, where he gets ran over by a car and then gets shot to death for good measure, although the car driving off to the upbeat Milky Way Wishes theme makes it less scary.
