  • Friendly Fandoms: With WordWorld and WordGirl. Not only do they teach kids about words and air on the same channel, but they also premiered on the exact same day.
  • Germans Love David Hasselhoff: The show was big in North America, but in South Korea, it's so popular that the country has tons of exclusive merchandise themed around the show.
  • Heartwarming Moments: Whyatt's reasoning for initiating the mission in "The Boy Who Drew Cats"? He needed ideas for a comic book he planned to make for his sick brother.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • The show's take on "The Tortoise and the Hare" had the title characters competing on a race along with other animals and finishing said race together, just like what Unstable Fables would do a year later.
    • This show featured a Black Little Mermaid sixteen years before Disney would unveil theirs.
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • The show saw an increase in notability upon the discovery by Joel that the mascot of an obscure Indian anti-virus known as Protegent had a design that resembles a recolored ripoff of Whyatt.
    • Due to Alpha Pig's absence in Comic Book Adventures, it is common for people to make Black Comedy jokes about Pig being sent to the slaughterhouse and turned into bacon.
  • Retroactive Recognition:
  • Seasonal Rot: The third and final season is usually regarded as the worst. This can be attributed to the animation downgrade and that they didn't go into fairytales anymore (most of the books they went into were original).
  • Sweetness Aversion: Even considering that the target audience is little kids, this show suffers pretty harsh pushback for this. While somewhat expected with its fairy tale aesthetics, conflict-free storytelling and cutesy designs, more often the not the complaints come from how they Bowdlerise the original fairy tales to have the most safe and boring resolution possible. While it makes sense to do that relative to some of the source material, some will say they manage to sanitize the already sanitized version of the story, resulting in an edge less cutesy overload that can cause some parents’ eyes to roll.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!:
    • The animation change in the final season was a turn-off for the fans, because of how half-baked and unintentionally creepy it looked.
    • Fans and non-fans alike were enraged at Alpha Pig's absence in Comic Book Adventures. If you look at any post about it on social media, almost all of the comments will be complaining about Alpha Pig being removed. The social media accounts for Super Why eventually addressed this by claiming that Alpha Pig went on vacation.
