• Creator Worship: The fandom adores the staff.
• Game-Breaker: For a game with as many new units/special rules as Summoner Wars has gotten in such a short space, there are mercifully none. However:
  • Thorkur, before the patch. Oldin could basically build his whole deck for magic (except for possibly his Heroic Feats), and summon a champion with as much life as he had magic, and a ranged attack of three.
• High-Tier Scrappy:
  • Gem Mages have a small but dedicated group of people who loathe them for how powerful they are.
  • Gror receives no small amount of hate for being as strong as he is.
• Nausea Fuel / Nightmare Fuel / Squick:
  • The Filth faction, all of it.
  • The Fallen Kingdom's Corpse Wyrm, who unfortunately reminds many users of The Human Centipede/
• The Scrappy
  • While some players think Phoenix Elves are the best faction to use due to the fact that are good at taking away the element of luck from the game, others see them as evil incarnate, going so far as to call their summoner (named Prince Elien) "Princess Elien" and calling them the "Dog kicking faction."
  • The Filth are this for those who can't stomach their particular brand of depravity.
  • Opinions differ on how powerful it really is, but no one in the SW community likes the recurring Magic Drain or Reinforcements events.
• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: Some people are concerned about the noticeable change in direction being taken by the second Guild Dwarf summoner. However, due to the aforementioned tier-induced-scrappy-ness, most people are happy to see the Guild Dwarves get an overhaul.
