- Angst? What Angst?: Foster seems to get over his grief of his entire family dying pretty quickly, as he's pretty composed when he concocts the plan to clone them immediately afterward.
- Cliché Storm: The movie uses pretty much every science-fiction and cyberpunk trope out there, rather poorly.
- Harsher in Hindsight: It's hard watching the already sad car accident scene when you consider Keanu Reeves lost his ex-girlfriend the same way.
- Just Here for Godzilla: If there's any reason to see this movie it's for Keanu Reeves.
- Narm: Any scene involving the robots are difficult to take seriously, due to being terribly rendered. Especially cheesy is the robot wearing a business suit at the end of the movie, which looks pretty ridiculous.
- Special Effect Failure: The CGI in the film is pretty bad. In particular is the fight scene with the robot near the end of the movie; it literally moves like it was stop-motion.
