• Alternate Character Interpretation: do Enoriel and Zarakai actually hate each other, or are they merely Vitriolic Best Buds?
• Draco in Leather Pants: Alia-Aenor, though justified due to her sympathetic backstory and her Heel–Face Turn.
• Foe Yay Shipping: When it's revealed Enoriel and Alia-Aenor used to be a couple, Moumoune asks if they ever kissed. Zarakai, who wasn't following the conversation, somehow thinks she is talking about Enoriel and him.
• Moral Event Horizon: Belial mocking Wrandrall when he begs him to spare his teammates? That's bad already. Him killing Roger to force Wrandrall into abandonning the negociation? Harsh. Him then killing Moumoune just to make an example? Yeah, that's where he crossed it.
• Nightmare Retardant: the scene where Belial escapes his prison and summons his demonical horse is downright dark and creepy... until he reveals the name of the horse is Grandadin. The narrator is not amused.
• Unpopular Popular Character: Trichelieu is despised by almost everyone in the saga. The fans, on the other hand, love him.
• Values Dissonance: During the first season, Zarakaï's go-to insult towards Enoriel was to a call him a "tafiole" which is a French slur for homosexual men, although the character himself wasn't homophobic beyond that and the word was often used as a setup for wordplays with "ta fiole" (your flask). When season 2 premiered in 2023, this was Retconned into Zarakaï, well established at this point as being prone to Malapropers and Mixed Metaphors, being horrified to learn the true meaning of the word that he thought only meant "hairless".
