- Crosses the Line Twice: Vect is vaguely amused if you think there's a line to cross in the first place.
- Cry for the Devil: Shinji is a Smug Snake and a rapist, but his fate is so nightmarish that you feel a tad sorry for him. Even if the only mercy he deserves is a quick death.
- Draco in Leather Pants: Illya sees Khorne as a benevolent deity/father figure as opposed to the demonic, rampaging monstrosity perceived by others. This is practically lampshaded by the author in a chapter title.
- Evil Is Cool: Vect!
- Moral Event Horizon: Both Berserker and Illya cross it in chapter 5 during their Stupid Evil killing spree.
- Narm: Gilgamesh's Villain Decay hits this as it stops being funny after a while and becomes an overused gag.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Gilgamesh being outmatched and put on the defensive by stronger Servants is an interesting concept, pushing him to get serious and be more strategic about using his vast arsenal against older and stronger enemies. Instead, the author is more interested in taking potshots at him, sending him into Villain Decay.
