YMMV / Isn't It Romantic

• Awesome Music: Natalie and Isabella fight for Josh's affection amidst singing "I Wanna Dance With Somebody", complete with over-the-top dancing rivaling a Bollywood production.
• Hollywood Homely: Played with. Whilst Rebel Wilson is undoubtedly beautiful, she looks like a realistic woman in New York would, being slightly overweight. The fact that she has two attractive men in love with her, without one mention of her weight, is incredibly refreshing.
• One-Scene Wonder: Jennifer Saunders as Natalie's cynical, hard-drinking mother in the opening scene.
• Spiritual Successor: To Delirious, another fantasy-comedy that starred a heavyset lead in another universe that humorously deconstructs a serious romantic genre after getting knocked out. The lead in question is instead Gender Flip and Race Lift.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: In spite of being the catalyst of Natalie's cynicism, her mother is never seen again after the opening and Natalie never confronts her again. Wouldn't be interesting to see her mother being incorporated into the Rom Com sequence? It's not like Abusive Parents don't show up in Romantic Comedies.
