These are what we call the 'YMMV items.' Things that some people find in this work. We call them 'your mileage might vary' because not everyone sees these things in the same way. This starts discussions in the trope lists, a thing we don't want. Please use the discussion page if you'd like to discuss any of these items.
Crowning Moment of Heartwarming: In and out-universe. When Hanna and Zombie begin to discuss Zombie's possession, Zombie states that he can't remember why paper cranes are significant to him. Hanna responds by deciding to try his hand at the Thousand Origami Cranes, which Zombie responds to with what might be a very slight smile. But then the truly Heartwarming part comes in when the fans decide to make their own 1000 cranes.
Speaking of Hanna and Zombie's friendship, this Christmas strip is simply wonderful.
Fetish Fuel: Apparently everything, given the size, scope, and sheer fervor of its slash fandom.
Ho Yay: You make a cast that consists of mostly men and see what happens.
Not only that, but all of said characters tend to form dynamic/entertaining/intriguing relationships with one another as soon as they meet, if they haven't already gotten some connection between them. Zombie quickly becomes protective of Hanna after seeing what kind of trouble the guy gets himself into constantly, Conrad and Worth are guys that yell at each other every time they meet (not to mention the bit about the blood), Worth and Lamont (and Hanna) already know each other, the former two seemingly in a vitriolic relationship, as far as we know Finas and Casimiro are attached to the hip, and Hanna seems to worry over and care about nearly everybody (though Zombie does a bit of this as well), and basically ties the whole cast together.
Not to mention the new year comic which is basically Hanna asking Zombie if he's sticking around just because he feels obligated to.
Hype Aversion: Fans tend to be somewhat.. fanatical. It doesn't help that even long before the hiatus, the update schedule would go completely nuts, and the author would spoil upcoming plot points to the fans.
Ples' own body issues, anyone? Especially after we get to, as Zombie puts it, "really know him," the tick tocks in the house can get a liiittle unnerving when you think about too much.
