- Crosses the Line Twice: Intended Audience Reaction.
- Ensemble Dark Horse: OS8's Drillin' Dylan/Explorin' Norman seems to be one. More recent uses include a "post-lawsuit" rendering on the ANS1 packs, and the original version taking up the box for a foreign-release set.
- No Such Thing as Bad Publicity: Upon its release, the cards met with a lukewarm reception. Its popularity didn't explode, however, until Moral Guardians launched a public outcry against the cards.
- Parody Displacement: Some people know about this but not the Cabbage Patch Kids.
- Seasonal Rot: Expect this reaction a lot from collectors about the post-lawsuit incarnations.
- Ugly Cute: John Pound meant for the characters to be disgusting but cute since he had to be looking at them a lot while painting them.
- What Do You Mean, It's for Kids?: The cards were marketed to children, in spite of their shamelessly graphic nature and some cards using jokes of a flagrantly adult nature. Heck, the cards Pourin' Lauren/Bonnie Bunny and Busty Dusty/Puffy Buffy are respectively a Playboy Bunny waitress and an infant with big breasts.
