Fandom Enraging Misconcept refers to a specific mistaken belief about the franchise that peeves off seasoned fans whenever it comes up. The trope had been renamed from Fandom Berserk Button precisely so that entries wouldn't be bogged down by every single viewpoint or statement known to anger a certain fandom, and this thing about GPK collectors not liking it when people refer to the characters by gender doesn't seem that notable from what I've seen.

* FandomEnragingMisconception: Some GPK collectors become sore if they catch anybody referring to GPK characters by gender.

** The animated series, which was planned for the 87-88 season on [=CBS=]. For the coming years, all that was seen of the show was on bootleg tapes before its official release on DVD in 2006.
** [[http://members.tripod.com/garbage_pail_kids/US_16th_Series.htm GPK World]] has the [[{{Pun}} filth]] on 1989's unreleased [=OS16=], including uncut sheets salvaged in the 1990s, roughs, cut designs, and the journey of one card that took a whole ''17 years'' to make it into a series. Many of the cards in this series were carried over to [=ANS1=] in 2003, others were the Flashbacks' "The Lost Cards", and the rest were exclusive to the album books.
** The holdout mentioned above went by Guy Pie/Pepperoni Tony, planned for [=OS2=], then [=OS6=], and seen on the sheet for [=OS16=] as card 639. This design otherwise existed only as a poster before it was finally included proper in [=ANS1=] as Cheesy Charlie/Pizza Face Chase.
