YMMV / Gadget and the Gadgetinis

  • Alternative Character Interpretation: Lt. Gadget is a Jerk Ass robotic double of the original Gadget and hides behind a facade of Obfuscating Stupidity in order to get away with all the damage he causes and keep people from finding out the truth. Seriously, just watch the way he acts after every time he causes Nozzaire grief.
  • Ear Worm: The theme song.
  • Fridge Brilliance: Sometimes the Gadgetinis call Penny "mom." Technically, she is their mother.
  • Ho Yay: Gadget and Nozzaire almost have a Squidward-Spongebob dynamic going on, with Nozzaire constantly hating and fearing Gadget to the point of obsession due to constantly being maimed by his gadgets and Gadget friendly and eager to please towards Nozzaire while being oblivious to his hatred and trying to ignore the constant pain he inflicts on Nozzaire.
  • In-Name-Only: The show is meant as a sequel to Inspector Gadget, but is full of Series Continuity Errors, completely rewrites some characters, and exaggerates others.
  • Jerkass Woobie: Nozzaire. You will feel sorry for him whenever Gadget puts him through hell, but at the same time he's an egotisticial jerk with few redeeming qualities.
  • Nightmare Fuel: In one episode, M.A.D. Agent Dr. Wacko makes a clone of himself. After arguing with the clone for a bit, he uses his control and tells the clone to go back to the chamber and disintegrate himself. He basically told his clone to COMMIT SUICIDE.
  • The Problem with Licensed Games: The game is forgettable and Fridge Logic inducing, its biggest redeeming quality being the amounts of humor it induces, as seen here.
  • Replacement Scrappy: This is what Fidget and Digit are to some fans.
    • Colonel Nozzaire for Chief Quimby.
  • Strawman Has a Point: Nozzaire may be a selfish jerk, but his constant gripes that Gadget gets rewarded for "blundering in at the right time" are completely founded.
    • And he's not far off the mark when he calls Gadget "a brainless bunch of useless gadgets".
  • Squick: Penny giving the gadgetinis stomachs and Gadget sniffing a baby in "The Ultimate Weapon".
  • Toy Ship: There were sparks between Penny and William, despite the minor problem that William is Dr. Claw's nephew.
  • The Woobie: Brain's return in "No Brainer" has him convulse at the mere mention of the word "Gadget".
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks: Because of how different it is from the original show, not many fans are fond of this series.
