Man, these YMMV items sure do exist, don't they?

  • Catharsis Factor: Sean feels this about "Happier Than Ever" by Billie Eilish.
  • Cliché Storm: His opinion on quite a few songs, including "Fight Song", "If I Didn't Love You", "You and I" by Eddie Rabbitt and Crystal Gayle, and "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)", the latter of which Sean likes.
  • Harsher in Hindsight:
    • The ending of Part 1 of the Best Hit Songs of 2019, Sean is shown trying to invite Dua Lipa out on a date and suggests that they meet in Los Angeles. Sean would later state that he went as far as to buy actual plane tickets to LA for the sake of the joke. Then the COVID-19 Pandemic happened, leading to Sean having to cancel the planned trip.
    • Sean was originally going to get a Mystikal cameo for the "Every #1 Hit of the 2000s" segment on "Stutter" but backed out due to his previous sexual assault charges. A week after the video's release, Mystikal would be arrested for, among other things, first-degree rape.
    • In the Summer 2022 ranking, Sean states that the Worst thing Lizzo ever did was wear an unsanitary dress to a basketball game, which became this when her sexual harassment came into light the next year.
    • Any dig at Jason Aldean in Part 2 of his "Worst Hit Songs of 2022" list, considering as Sean notes throughout the video and in the live chat, he wrote the script in June, before the "Try That in a Small Town" controversy, where it was commonly considered among his fanbase (and Sean himself) to be a literal pro-lynching anthem.
    • In his Fall 2019 ranking, Sean talks about DaBaby's verse in his remix of Lil Nas X's "Panini", mentioning that the point of his verse is "Just because I'm on a Nas X song doesn't mean I don't like girls". Two years later, DaBaby would come under heavy fire after delivering comments at his Rolling Loud concert that were widely considered homophobic.
  • Heartwarming Moments:
    • Despite feeling that American Idol winners songs are generally So Okay, It's Average, he ranked Fantasia Barrino's winner's single "I Believe" at #4 in his "Every Number One of the 2000s Ranked" countdown (behind only "Smooth", "Ms. Jackson" and "Viva la Vida"). His praise for Barrino's authenticity and vocal power is one of the most positive moments in the countdown.
    • In Sean's "Top 10 Worst Hit Songs of 2013" list, before he talks about his number three pick (the infamous "Love Me" by Lil Wayne, Drake, and Future), he reveals that his mother watches his videos, and takes a moment to advise her to skip the segment if she's watching, as he doesn't believe that she would be comfortable hearing him talk about the topics related to the song. It's a small moment, but it shows that Sean loves and respects his mother enough to think about her feelings.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Let's just say Sean is starting to get the same reputation as Toddstradamus.
    • In the end of the Summer 2019 ranking, Sean jokingly told his viewers to stream "Someone You Loved" as he needed an easy target for the Worst of 2019 list. Not only would "Someone You Loved" hit the Top 20 by the next seasonal ranking, but it also ended up on the Worst of 2019 list proper.
    • In "100 Biggest Hit Songs of All Time: Ranked Worst to Best - Part 2", Sean predicted that Chubby Checker's "The Twist" would remain the biggest hit of all time "for a good long time". Just three years later, the song was surpassed by The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights".
    • In the Top 10 Worst Hit Songs of 2014, Sean claims that Nelly has chosen irrelevance and anonymity over working with Florida Georgia Line again. Come 2021, Nelly would release "Lil Bit", another collaboration with FGL. Sean would later state that he didn't mind the song.
    • During the segment of Summer 2020 on "Falling" by Trevor Daniel, Sean states that while the song seems custom-made made a lot of worst songs of 2020 lists, he simply isn't bothered by it. When Sean made his own worst songs list...
Sean: So a few months ago, I implied that anyone who put "Falling" by Trevor Daniel on their worst lists was a total dweeb. I have never claimed to not be a total dweeb.
    • Also, in the same video, he notes that Roddy Ricch's "The Box" is the "song of the year, it's looking to stay that way". Come the Year-End list, and it would be #3 on the list, behind "Blinding Lights" and "Circles".
    • In episode 5 of "Grab Bag Reviews," the #6 pick was Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill", as requested by Lyzette G, and Sean was surprised it got 45 votes since there wasn't any "current discourse around it." About a year later, the song would experience a huge revival thanks to its prominent placement in the fourth season of Stranger Things.
    • In "Every #1 Hit of the 2000s" ranking, Sean notes that Ubisoft still releasing Just Dance games on Google Stadia is proof of his thoughts on the series (in that he considers it a soulless, blatant cash-grab). A few months later, Ubisoft cancelled the planned Stadia version of Just Dance 2023 Edition after the service's shutdown was announced.
    • In his Winter 2022 ranking, he places "Surface Pressure" at #1 and notes that he doesn't feel like talking about Encanto much longer and that he will be covering the song at a later date, clarifying in the live chat that he was referring to the Spring ranking. The week that Sean would cover the Spring ranking on would have "Surface Pressure" at #56.
  • LGBT Fanbase: Despite being a cishet man, a large portion of Sean's fanbase is queer, especially on his Discord server where LGBT+ people are seemingly the majority. His coverage of a queer-friendly genre of music and his politically left-wing viewpoints shown both in and outside of his videos (including support for LGBT+ rights) has a lot to do with this.
  • Memetic Mutation: Man, this X sure does exist, doesn't it?Explanation
