YMMV / Day One: Garry's Incident

• Goddamned Bats: Infected Monkeys have small hitboxes and whittle Garry down with weak ranged attacks.
• Obvious Beta: The game was released in a blatantly unfinished and extremely buggy state, with significant gameplay and graphics issues, poor animations, as well as a number of bugs such as clipping issues, unresponsive A.I., and NPCs spontaneously dying when you loaded a save game. Also, rebinding the keys away from the default WASD controls would cause a random command to be deleted from the game menu, making it impossible to use that command and thus (if it was something important like USE or INVENTORY) impossible to play the game properly.
• Overshadowed by Controversy: This game wouldn't be nearly as well-known as it is, and the developers probably wouldn't have walked away with such nasty reputations, had they not made the copyright claims against TotalBiscuit for making a negative video on the game, as well as other forms of misconduct.
