Trivia / Day One: Garry's Incident

• Creator Killer: The bad reviews and sales of the game, combined with the even worse publicity caused by the Totalbiscuit incident, made it so that Wild Games Studio would never make another game.
• Similarly Named Works: Shares a prominent name with Garry's Mod.
• Streisand Effect: The developers brought it upon themselves when they tried to use the YouTube copyright takedown service to remove TotalBiscuit's video on the game. This prompted him to strike back with a response video, pointing out three pieces of evidence that showed that their justification (That being, "Totalbiscuit has no right to make advertising revenue with our license") was false^note Exhibit A: Totalbiscuit approached the developer with a request for review code with a strongly implied intention to monetize, which was granted by the developer within 24 hours. Exhibit B: Other videos from different youtubers covering the game (not all of whom were necessarily positive) were not taken down, giving the impression that Totalbiscuit's video was only targeted for being highly viewed and ranked very high in search ranking. Exhibit C: A post on the game's steam forums from Stephane Woods explicitly granted blanket permission to make Youtube videos of the game.. The result was the game and the developers being seen as even more unscrupulous for doing so.
