- Awesome Moments: Batman (2016) #135 is the 900th issue of the various volumes of the primary Batman comic, and it goes all out with a trek across the multiverse as Bruce pursues the Red Mask through the worlds of various Batmen, including Michael Keaton's Batman, Red Rain Batman, Gotham by Gaslight Batman, the late Golden Age Dick Sprang Batman, the DCAU Batman, Arkhamverse Batman, and Terry McGinnis.
- The cherry on top is Adam West's cameo appearance. Not only does he have the new, more vicious version of his Joker under control even before Prime Batman arrives, he offers him his own utility belt after seeing Prime Batman is missing one. Said belt later comes in handy against Red Mask's Joker-sharks, with Prime Batman using the iconic "Shark Repellent Bat-Spray" and being awed that he's finally met a Batman more prepared than himself.
- #140 takes this a step further when Bruce finds himself trapped in his mind and facing the Zur-Enn-Arrhs of the aforementioned Batmen. Despite these Batmen being the most ruthless versions of already ruthless warriors, including the Dark Knight Returns Batman and the vampire Batman, Bruce is able to defeat them all by exploiting their weaknesses, ranging from using his memory of his father's Bible to contain the vampire Batman or exploiting how Keaton's Batman cannot turn his head.
- Narm: In issue #134 Bruce causes an alternate version of Superman to flee away in terror by rolling his eyes and screaming "I am your nightmare" with his Batman voice. While it was supposed to be a Badass Boast against a Brainwashed and Crazy Superman, the scene was quickly mocked by fans and reviewers alike and even compared to the infamous "Martha" scene from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
- Nightmare Fuel:
- God almighty, The Batman of Zur-En-Arrh. He appears drawn in the style of the Silver Age in "I Am A Gun", and... he never stops smiling. Even when telling Bruce to give into him and kill, he never loses the smile that was drawn and designed to make Batman friendlier for kids. #130 makes it worse by showing the smile widening while he's crying tears of blood. When at one point the memory of Martha Wayne pulls back the cowl, she shows Bruce that there is nothing there beneath the '60s style smile - besides the mouth, it's The Blank.
Zur-En-Arrh: Let me in, chum. You don't have to do anything. Bruce Wayne, the doctor's son, his hands clean, his conscience pristine. It's so easy.- The end of issue #135 has the image of various alternate Batmen's Zur-En-Arrhs, suggesting that every Batman has a Zur-En-Arrh buried away somewhere just in case, even the more kinder versions like the Adam West one. The Michael Keaton version is really disturbing with his lips curled into a grin looking down. Another possible implication is that, much like Red Mask, Batman's integration with multiversal energy and other Batman caused him to "infect" them like Red Mask does for Jokers. "Wanna get nuts? Let's get nuts!" indeed.
- EVERY SINGLE JOKER that died in the multiverse is Back from the Dead. Jack Napier, The DCAU Joker, The Joker who nuked Metropolis and turned Superman into a mass-murdering dictator, The Joker who snapped his own neck, the vampire Joker, the Kingdom Come Joker, The Arkham Joker...they're all alive. And that's just the ones we know about. The one from Titans (2018), the Batwoman (2019) Joker they claim Batman killed, Gotham's Valeska twins, the one from Gotham Knights (2023), and even the one responsible for Dark Knights Metal and the creation of The Batman Who Laughs? They've all likely been resurrected too. And if their respective worlds still believe them dead, just imagine their surprise when they hear an all-too familiar laugh...
