• Arc Fatigue: Pram's sword arc that lasted from chapters 16 to 21 was felt to be somewhat slow for some readers. This was mainly because of how much time Desir and Pram spent dealing with Wujuken's antique shop despite there being much more interesting and important stuff in the story to deal with.
• Captain Obvious Reveal: Adjest Kingscrown turning out to be related to Emperor Gilltian Jedgar F. Roguepalace was pretty much a given since she's a Noble with an incredibly obvious last name hinting that there's more to her. Her real last name is Roguepalace. If that wasn't enough, Adjest's trump card spell is turning the area around her into a palace room of ice.
• Cliché Storm: A wisened and experienced protagonist getting a second chance to try to save the world via being sent back in time to his younger self, while trying to lead an underdog fight against the discrimination of those in nobility status above him? There's a fair number of stories using basically the exact same premise, with some mixing and matching with other cliches. But the Shadow World's mechanics and Desir's having to adapt to the new timeline changes and the mysteries of his companions helps forge something of its own path.
• Narm: Chapter 24 ends with Adjest declaring war on Desir for their upcoming promotional exam duel. It's supposed to be a serious moment, but the shot of Desir "air-sitting" due to the library chair he's sitting on not being drawn makes it look somewhat ridiculous.
