Twinkle, the Dream Being is an animated cartoon series which aired in 1992, containing 26 episodes.
The show focuses on a Dream Being named Twinkle. Accompanied by a blue star named Nova and a blue ball named Wishball, Twinkle grants the wishes of the inhabitants of the Land of Possibility while foiling the schemes of the devious Miss Diva Weed and her two Hotshot minions, Won and Chu.
This show has examples of the following:
- All-Loving Hero: Twinkle. To the Possibles, he's their most special Dream Being.
- Be Careful What You Wish For: This seems to be the moral of nearly every episode.
- Big Eater: The Urgs have very large appetites and will practically eat anything they come across, which often annoys others.
- Birthday Episode: In the second part of "Dream Being Birthday", it is revealed that Twinkle didn't know when his own birthday was because Dream Beings don't have birthdays like normal people (it is also revealed that Twinkle was 10-years-old). Therefore, the Possibles decided to give him an official birthday. He's given another birthday party in the third part of the episode.
- Bratty Half-Pint: Twinkle's 5-year-old apprentice, Sparkle. He's very impatient, has trouble following the wish rules, and is all too eager to grant wishes (without considering the consequences).
- Bumbling Henchmen Duo: Won and Chu are Diva Weed's two dimwitted minions who aid her in causing trouble.
- Enemy Mine: Diva Weed has been willing to work together with Twinkle on several occasions, like in the first and second part of "Pollution Solution".
- Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Diva Weed does seem to care deeply about her plants, to the point that she wishes for Twinkle's help in saving them. Also, despite the abuse she often gives him, she does care about her buzzard as well.
- Origins Episode: The second part of "Culture Shock" reveals how Twinkle met Nova and Wishball.
- Wicked Witch: Diva Weed, who takes great pleasure in trying to make the Possibles miserable.
