Tom and Jerry (sometimes referred to as "Tom and Jerry Singapore" to differentiate it) is a 2023 miniseries for the Tom and Jerry franchise produced in Singapore following the series' longtime popularity in the Asia-Pacific region. Throughout these four-minute shorts, the cat-and-mouse duo get into their usual misadventures of trying to best one another, with their legendary rivalry now bringing them to various locales in Singapore.

The Singapore-based Robot Playground Media and Chips and Toon Studios are responsible for the series' stories and character designs, with animation services being done by the India-based Aum Animation Studios. The series is also intended to be a collaboration between Warner Bros. Discovery and the Singapore Tourism Board, as part of a greater partnership to highlight Singapore and inspire travel to it. The series airs on Cartoon Network Asia and HBO Go Asia, and is also freely watchable internationally on CN Asia's YouTube channel.

Tropes:

  • All-Loving Hero: Count on Merli features Merli the Merlion (Singapore's mascot character) as one of these, helping clean up the steps and trying to make peace between Tom and Jerry. Key word is trying, of course.
  • Art Initiates Life: Colorful Chase has Jerry paint a doorway to enter a billboard, the realm inside which he is able to paint whatever he wants to bring it to life to attempt to fend off Tom.
  • Art Shift: A relatively subtle example. When Tom and Jerry enter the billboard art in "Colorful Chase", the lighting and shading on them disappears, given how simple the rendering is in the rest of the art.
  • Beach Episode: Ice Ice Paradise takes place on Sentosa Island and features as its instigating conflict Tom and Jerry fighting over shade on Siloso beach.
  • Coconut Meets Cranium: In Ice Ice Paradise, Jerry pelts Tom with several coconuts after being chased by him up a palm tree. Tom returns the favor by throwing one of the fallen coconuts at Jerry.
  • I Do Not Like Green Eggs and Ham: What's that Smell? has Jerry spend the entire episode trying to dispose of Tom's durians due to their awful smell, only to end with Jerry accidentally consuming some and realizing he loves the taste of durians.
  • Kite Riding: Tom attempts to do this in Sky's the Limit only for his kite to be immediately torn apart by birds.
  • Mickey Mousing: As is fitting for Tom and Jerry.
  • Mime and Music-Only Cartoon: Just like many of the original cartoons— so far, there has been no spoken dialogue.
  • Pay Evil unto Evil: What Goes Around Comes Around features Tom subjecting Jerry to various torments, and ends with Jerry getting to turn the tables on him and subject Tom to all of the exact same torments in return.
  • Scenery Porn: Singapore is a very pretty place to look at, and the show captivates it.
  • Stock Scream: Bill Hanna's classic Tom scream makes its triumphant return. Cartoon Network Asia put together a compilation of it for the occasion.
  • Threatening Shark: One appears at the end of Be Careful What You Fish For trying to make a meal of Tom. Three of them appear in Count on Merli where they try to eat both Tom and Jerry.
