Fairview is an Animated Sitcom made by Comedy Central, with Stephen Colbert as an executive producer. The show is about how national politics interact with the citizens of a town named Fairview, a town of idiotic party people who are willing to urinate in public and fight in car park lots. Overseeing this is Kelly Sampson, a former party girl turned mayor of this town (who is not the smartest person in the book), and her fellow incompetent political figures and their families.

The show debuted on the 9th of February 2022. It is not to be confused with the 2018 theatre play of the same name.

This show contains the following tropes:

  • Animated Shock Comedy: Clearly. A chief criticism many viewers have is that the show almost takes too much pride in being as generic, vulgar, and cheaply-made like various other adult cartoons airing nowadays. It definitely doesn't help that Comedy Central deliberately tried to reinforce the show’s similarities to its obvious source of inspiration, South Park.
  • Ass Shove: Discussed in Episode 8. When Pastor Marv is telling students how anything can lead to evil, his standard stock example of evil is the insertion of objects into a goose's colon.
  • Bestiality Is Depraved: In order to portray Joe Rogan as a total lowlife, the first episode exaggerates the "ivermectin is for horses" argument into characters claiming that Joe endorses blowing horses as a form of healthcare.
  • Cluster F-Bomb: At one point in "Crypto," the Luck Dragon drops several rapid-fire S-bombs as he rushes to make himself disappear.
  • Dream Sequence: In the seventh episode, when Kelly Sampson dozes off with an awards show on TV, she dreams that she sees herself on TV winning an award for her performance in "performative climate action."
  • Gory Discretion Shot: Used during a possum attack at the end of the third episode.
  • Matryoshka Object: Much like the earlier Higglytown Heroes, the designs of the characters much resemble these types of dolls.
  • Mayor Pain: Sampson is of the incompetent variant; in the first episode alone, she is easily willed into hosting a Super Bowl party without any COVID-19 precautions.
  • Medium Blending: Although the show is mainly 2D animation, the footage of Dr. Anthony Fauci in the first episode is live-action footage of him.
  • Monochrome Past: In Episode 8, when a group of characters take an imaginary trip to the past, everything but them is black-and-white. Later on, they take another imaginary time trip where they find that things weren't as good as they thought they were; this time, the people they meet are in color, but everything else is still in black-and-white.
  • Ridiculously Human Robot: Footbot, who despite being a robot, is implied to be suffering from the symptoms of chronic traumatic encephalopathy, such as a poor memory and halluncinations.
  • Ripped from the Headlines: Every episode more or less revolves around a current ongoing topic at the time of writing.
  • Take That!:
    • Amazon's infamous treatment against employees is lampooned, with the Omni Manager apparently counting blinking as vacation time.
    • Beef's family outright admits that they won't take the vaccine because they're idiots.
    • The Luck Dragon tells people that logic is their enemy and to invest in cryptocurrency without thinking about it.
  • Where the Hell Is Springfield?: The show takes place in the town of Fairview. The question is, which state is Fairview in?
