The Four Moons Initiative is a webcomic created by CiderAmese. It is a prequel series to the currently unreleased object show, Objects on Planet Salus.

First released on December 5th, 2022, it follows the daily lives of the objects who take residence on the distant planet of Salus. Some will find the truth behind the distant past of their home, while some will experience the aftermath of The Brightest Night - when all four of the planet's moons rise and the Keepers of the Full Moon go on a rampage in order to make sure no one is born that night.

While the characters are inspired by object shows, primarily Battle for Dream Island, the series is more oriented towards adults, with swearing, violence, gore, and a complete lack of a competition.

The webcomic currently has four stories released: Nothing to Lose, Cut & Dry, Fire & Ice, and Avici.

The Four Moons Initiative contains examples of:

  • A Dog Named "Dog": As is common with shows and comics of the genre, the characters are named after the objects they're based on, such as "Wiffle Ball" and "Lip Gloss".

  • A Lizard Named "Liz": Some of the characters have names/nicknames that fall into this, such as "Soapy", "Glossy", and "Strawbs"

  • Animate Inanimate Object: All of the main characters are living objects. Humans, Anthropomorphic animals, and regular creatures do exist however.

  • Anyone Can Die: With recovery centers, a staple of object shows, being nowhere in sight for the main cast, it makes their situations pretty dire.

  • Armless Biped: Laundry Basket and Wiffle Ball are examples of this.

  • Crime of Self-Defense: The consequence of attacking or killing a Moonkeeper, even when they've just killed your family? Death.

  • Elemental Powers: All Salus-born citizens have elements, and some have special powers based on those elements.

  • Fantastic Racism: Quite a few of the characters, including one of the main characters, have a prejudice against monster objects.

  • Final Solution: In order to make sure no one gains the lunar power of four full moons, the Moonkeepers plan to eradicate every child set to be born that night, along with anyone who doesn't comply.

  • Kill It with Fire: Titan's Nest is set ablaze

  • Leave No Survivors: The Keepers of the Full Moon plan to eradicate all children born on the Brightest Night.
